I hope we get a big and amazing Mount Targon event like we had with Bilgewater

This was one of my most loved login screens (behind DJ Sona), just because of the well made music, art and the dedication of rioters for this event.

With the Bilgewater event going through, we had a great and awesome inovation for gaining summoner icons via LoL client, with an outstanding system, great and very intriguing new mode with alot of new revamped stuff, new items, etc.

One of my personal favorites was definitely both the Bilgewater music for summoner's rift and the Bilgewater (or Gangplank) announcer. Comparing to what the current announcer is, he hypes me up so much and motivates me to play the game, the same with the Bilgewater soundtrack. The soundtrack is so perfect in any situation: Makes me happy, motivates me to play, incentivates me to play the game as hard as I can and many other positive reations by myself.

This is just too good to pass. Good thing there are mods for the usage of this, and for the announcer.

What i'm expecting when Taric gets is full visual rework + gameplay update, he could be the "center" of attention, just like Gangplank did. He was top notch back then, and bringing us more tasks to get the special and limited summoner icons.

Since MF got a few tweaks, i'm expecting (alongside Taric) for Diana, Leona or Pantheon to be slightly or highly visual tweaked ,especially Pantheon.

And also never forget the most important part of the event, that is the LORE! (Yes I didn't forget all of our dedicated fan base of knowing the lore of each champion).

Gangplank, Twisted Fate, Graves and MF got an outstanding, amazing and unbelievable lore and I would definitely buy a book to read the full lore of it (even though it's completely free (thank you Riot)).

The lore could or should contain Taric, Diana, Leona, Pantheon and possibly other related champions that were affilied with Mount Targon.

I do too, I really do.

HOWEVER be careful with your expectations.

Riot already made an announcement a few months back that they were changing the way they did events to give themselves more freedom in the departments individually to do their own thing, and that applies for lore too. We saw this during the Harrowing; lore and skins got involved mostly and in two very different ways.

Given what is currently in testing I'm expecting anything Mount Targon related to be heavily lore related but devoid of most other things we'd see in events. The reason is I expect this to be narrative going for a Mount Targon focus right now where as other departments might be doing other things. Lore isn't tied to events intrinsically anymore, so I only expect lore right now.

I could be entirely wrong and come next cycle we could see a featured game mode, a new map and new music specifically made for a Mount Targon event, but right now I'm keeping my expectations for this lore event and all future ones solely to there being lore and story with anything else being a nice bonus.

What I'm hoping for is for us to not get another let down because of a joke from Poppy. Poppy never stopped being from Demacia and Brandle City and as well, Sion didn't stop being from Noxus. Trundle, however, makes me more open to the possibility but at the same time, he wasn't from anywhere in Runeterra except the home of trolls... his change to give him a home wasn't or would not be as big as changing the home for Taric. I haven't seen them do this before, but I'm not against it. I love Mt Targon more than most other fractions, and its probably the best. Its home to only 3 champions though, and that makes me sad. If Taric does get moved, I won't be sad, but I don't know if it really will happen. :/

You know what? I wasn't exciting to see Bilgewater Event because I wasn't interested to it. But I really liked it. REALLY LIKED IT. Riot nailed Bilgewater with that story and I hope they contiune to do events like this. They improved so much if you compare Bilgewater and Shurima.

I would like to see one thing more than anything else...

...a Pantheon model update. He's so outdated, and since the Mt. Targon update seems close, we can expect a model and animations update if Riot is opportunistic.

I am pretty sure they said they aren't changing Taric's lore. They will probably update it to make it canon, but he is still from another world. Unfortunately I am to lazy to source this.

Considering Leona, Diana and Pantheon are the only ones actually apart of Targon, it would be nice if they gave a lore shift and put a few more in there just to even it out. Not to mention, those champions need a bit of love.

Other champions I could see in the Targon faction would be: Taric, Ryze, Malphite, or even Irelia.

I would love a Targon themed event though, and if it's got the soundtrack like the Bilgewater event, then I'm all in.

Yeah the bilgewater event was so cool. One of the my first events to participate on all of them. All the icons were so nice of them and the lore was also great! I loved everything of it, and I also hope they do something similar for Taric and Mount Targon.

Problem is Taric doesn't really have much to do with Mt. Targon. I mean, he could be somehow worked into it, but I really can't imagine that it would happen. He fits Demacia much better imo because he's a bitch-ass-motherfucking-bastard who's all shiny and pristine and pretends to be a noble little %%%%. Fuck Demacia.

Okay I have a lot of pent-up anger.

Seriously though, Taric does fit Demacia much better I think because he's shiny. Demacia likes shiny things. Mt Targon seems to be focusing on the moon and the sun and stuff related to Ancient Greece, and a gem knight doesn't have much place there imo.

except the part where Gangplank got 2 visual reworks, a new game play rework and new VO(and an anoucer pack) while MissFortune only got a visual rework that you have to PAY 975 RP to get..... edit: and some tiny gamplay tweaks blah blah
