Katarina's new skin reminds me of the biggest thematic flaw of hers.

I just saw Katarina was getting a new skin and I liked it.

However it reminds me of one problem I have with her in terms of gameplay not matching her visual thematics which results in a missed opportunity in terms of fantasy. Specifically she's got 2 bloody swords but she doesn't feel like a sword wielder or dual wielder at all.

Her Q throws a dagger at enemies. Her W throws a dagger into the air. Her ult throws a lot of daggers all around.

So why is it that the only bloody champ who dual wields swords doesn't use her swords at all or fulfill a duel wielder fantasy? She mostly fulfills a dagger thrower fantasy and is just missing ranged attacks. But still, riot gave her 2 swords and she doesn't use them at all. No other champ in the game duel wields. We probably aren't going to get one as long as katarina has that silhouette.

What gives riot?

I think those are meant to be daggers. There kinda big is game to clarity issues.

Those are at best knives and definitely not swords.

Well some of her daggers in her other skins look like swords. Thinking of high command, bilgewater, and maybe sandstorm

You pretty much answered your own question here. She is not supposed to fill the dual-wielder fantasy,she is supposed to fill the "blade-master" or "dagger thrower"-fantasy as you call it.

In fact I'm not even sure if "dual-wielder" is really that much of a unique theme considering that we have lots of other dual wielders already in the game like Akali Draven Lucian MissFortune Olaf Ornn Shaco and especially Shen ,who not only has 2 swords,but who also uses them differently,with one being used for autoattacks and one being used for skills.
