Does anyone actually knows Swain's real name lore wise? Is it just a select few or only Beatrice( the bird)? If so does anyone address him by his real name(Jericho)?

Jericho Swain's full name is known throughout the world, considering he is the Grand General of Noxus after Borram Darkwill's death.

It would be pretty odd for people to not know the face of one of the most terrifying factions of the world.

That got retconned though so who would know his name if summoners/league didn't exist? I doubt he just freely tells people his real name

The summoner/institute of war lore got retconned, not Swain being the Grand General of Noxus

It just seems like something he would prefer to keep secret. Otherwise why would he also be called Swain? Being Grand General doesn't imply he had to give out his real name and I doubt anyone is foolish enough to pester or try to force Swain to give out his real name.

He's literally the leader of an entire country.

He is also a tyrant of that country, one where power speaks above all else and only the strong do well. Why would he give his real/original name if he is already addressed as Swain by the public. What I'm basically saying is that not all rules apply in Noxus.

Well, people Address the president as Obama and not Barack. It comes down to what part you play in Swain's life.

Leblanc? They're probably on first name basis Jericho-Evaine Darius? He'll address him as Swain or simply Grand General

Hmm I can see this being a possibility its just the way Swain has been described as a person who has much of his past hidden/unknown maybe say mysterious being a stretch that I imagine his real name isn't publicly known

By that same logic, the name "Swain" Could be just as much of a lie as his first name being Jericho.

At the end of the say, much like LeBlanc, we can only ever know what they themselves choose to reveal to us.

I'm personally of the opinion that Swain ain't even human; that he's a demon who crawled into a half-dead cripple, stole his name and that he's just pretending to be human most of the time, revealing his True form(Burd Mode) when he needs to get serious with someone.

For the same reason Vayne is called Vayne and not Shauna(or miss fortune isn't called Sarah). Sometimes people merely get adressed with their last names.
