But not only Jax, I'm talking about pretty much every champion who had their lore deleted by the retcon via the retcon, and is still waiting over a year for an update.

I have read it, many times. I was playing LoL years before the dev blog that retconned lore occoured , and I made several posts in it back in the day. When the lore retcon was announced, I became a vocal dissenter to Riot's plan to marginalize lore.( A position that was supported by the majority of LoL Players at the time.)
The lore retcon was kind of a sucky change for me, as I really supported pretty much everything Riot did before this point, as they had positioned themselves as a gaming company that was going to cater to their active players.
For the first time ever, Riot actively went against their players sentiments. The Retcon announcement was highly downvoted by pretty much all players at the time, and Riot chose to ignore its player base, and continue with the retcon despite the overwhelming outcry from players.
The retcon announcement was met with universal overwhelmingly negative outcry from the playerbase....Riot ignored that, and went ahead with it anyway.
I guess I was a bit too optimistic about Riot. I should have known that the good times wouldn't last. Tencent is too greedy.
Despite it's success, Riot has decided to deliver less content than it used to at a supposedly higher quality. The results of that goal are somewhat debatable. Although we can all agree that decent content patches are much fewer than they used to be.
