Let's Not Place Blame: This Game Is Rife With Story/Lore Inconsistencies That Need To Be Addressed

Let's get down to business and get shit done. @Riot, how can we (players) help?

Currently Riot's lore as a "singular world" is broken. A lot of the lore has been revised, while a lot of the previous lore doesn't make sense because of those revisions.

This is a problem, that should be solved in a quick and timely manner. I'm sorry to say we are well beyond that point now, and it seems like us players need to give Riot the support to get this job done.

I don't know if the lore retcon needed to happen or not, but the fact of the matter is that it did happen, and it should have finished in a quick timely manner. The problem is that it didn't.

It's dragged on for years, with no end it sight. Let's work together to get it down.

@Riot, When do you plan to be finished updating your lore? How can we help speed up the process?

I agree that it is a problem, but strongly disagree with the notion that speed in execution should be prioritized over quality.

Burning Tides, Shadow and Fortune and the recent character pieces have shown that Riot's narrative pipeline is capable of delivering really high quality work. In my opinion, it would be a mistake to pull focus from the actual work on foundations, storylines and long champion bios in order to rush to cover relatively minor inconsistences (yes, I think that having Fiddlesticks, Jax, Nocturne and such without completely integrated stories is not a huge deal, given how shallow those characters have been since their introduction).

We can't. Riot has explicitly stated they don't want the community's help with lore.

even if they keep going at the speed of 2 city states per year by time they touch all the city states twice, once to introduce the cirt state and another time to introduce story driven conflict .people would be moving on from this game because they cant keep it consistently interesting and because im banking on 18 bringing awesome games and the new people wont give 2 shits about the things that already happened
