Question for Riot's 3D artists: Do you use Modo?

I recently accepted a job doing QA for a 3D modeling program called Modo. I'd never heard of it before, but one of the guys I interviewed with said that a lot of big-name companies actually used Modo, as the Modo team made an extra effort to make sure it was compatible with industry standards like Zbrush. So I was just curious if you guys used that program at all.

It depends on the artist, but yes, some of them do use modo. It's all about the combination. If the artist wants to do a high-poly sculpt they'll do it in Zbrush and then bring it in to Maya, 3D coat, or other programs to retopologize it. A lot of artists also use Silo for modelling. Any of those programs that work with lower poly mesh's are good choices if you don't have the time/need to do a high-rez sculpt or don't want to deal with retopo later.

Definitely learn it and it's surrounding programs. That knowledge will really get you in line and ahead of the curve when trying to get into the industry!
