An ingenious way to pay homage to Morde's Metal theme through his VO

As much as people liked Mordekaiser's old title and Metal themes they were outdated and didn't really fit him. It made him somewhat of a parody as he was simply a walking, talking Metal reference. Yet a lot of people still regard him as the Master of Metal and I've been looking for ways to preserve this part of his identity. Listening to some of my favorite Metal songs I realized that most lyrics could just be turned into Voice lines for the Iron Revenant.

Metal lyrics often tell tales of ancient evils and other themes that are so heavily linked to Mordekaiser and his core fantasy of this Conquering Warlord Spirit. That being said, I've composed a prototype VO script consisting mostly of Heavy Metal lyrics, processed into a form that comes over as a natural VO. Know that even though I love Metal there's bound to be some references I did not make, so if you feel you've found another fitting one let me know! But without further ado, let's just jump into this prototype Mordekaiser VO!

I've structured the following paragraphs in Metal bands and song lyrics that might work well as VO lines, be it on Movement, Attacking or other actions.

Black Sabbath: One of Metal's granddaddies. Black Sabbath is one of the most influential Metal bands so it's rather easy to see why one would want to reference them in a Mordekaiser VO

Metallica One of the BIG FOUR, truly a paragon of Metal goodness, their dark lyrics and equally heavy riffs make them the quintessential Metal band. They're definitely up there in the Pantheon of Metal gods and thus earned themselves a spot on this list.

Motörhead! The raspy vocals of Frontman Lemmy truly made Motörhead stand out among their peers. The signature shredding style Lemmy used for his bass playing added a heavy train-engine feel to their tracks, so very fitting for a Metal Juggernaut marching towards you!

Dio is by far one of the most influential Metal frontmen. He revolutionized Metal, he created the devil horns, he sang to the lost rock'n'roll children. He was one of the most charismatic personalities Metal ever brought forth, thus he's earned his rightful place on his list!

Anyways, these are just some of the potential quotes Mordekaiser's updated VO could be referencing to keep alive his Metal theme but not make it stand out like a sore thumb. Subtly referencing heavy Metal classics that can be picked up by Metal fans and still be seen as simple badass quotes for heathens...erm..I mean those not well-versed in the art of metal.
