While people have been asking for a darker Demacia, people have also wanted a lighter Noxus. It's hard to be a nice nation when you're conquering a spiritual country. Without the League, maybe the nation can afford to be darker? Maybe it should stay the same? Not everything needs to be grey.

Well we do see some hints as to how far they'll go to achieve balance with their treatment of Syndra. IIRC it was hinted that Ao Shin wouldn't be the most benevolent of Dragons.
