How do you feel about them basically making her apart of a race of furries? (Bipedal animals, not humans with animal ears and tails)

Ahri was really bland before tbh. I love it, but she was obviously a thinly-veiled Kitsune/Kumiho that was pandering towards an even more obvious demographic. Although her story was neat, it was very 1-dimensional.
Now she's part of a race that exists in the League universe, her story has opportunities for change and growth, and she's less of a 1-D "fox spirit" character. I like it.
I feel it adds a bit more uniqueness than just "she was a fox. She found a dieing wizard and became mostly human after stealing their magic. She eats the souls of..... Charmed.... People to keep her appearance...."
This gives a better reasoning of WHY, she is a part of a race that actually evolved into that, rather than just some weird mishap that happened that makes her seem more like shes that female Terminator that transformed into a woman as a happy turn of events for the police officer before he died.
Shes obviously still a seductress of Ionia same as normal, but it could add a bit of depth to her original lore though as well..... She could be the animalistic shapeshifter that helped start that new tribe due to her being lonely all by herself. She was changed from a fox into a fox lady afterall, so perhaps she was one of the "people" that was running when she found a shapeshifting mage and then found a way to pass it along to the other animals, thus being the reason why they have more characteristics of animals rather than humans? Seeing as they were very offended if the bonding was just magical or if there was a more physical aspect...... Perhaps it is not just that its a rather crude question to ask..... But to help gaurd their deep secret of how they came into being and to help protect their beautiful but deadly maiden so as to not have people seeking her out to pester her and asking for some of the magic as well...... However it may be transfered.
Just some possible ideas that might make you a bit more open to the new lore.

It would had been better if she was independent, and innocent along. I don't want her to have rivals, since 99% of league champs have rivals
Yes because having a fox tail, fox ears and whiskers made her unique somehow as opposed to being apart of a race of Chimera's.
Vastaya have a range of looks depending how "pure" thier blood is. While more pure ones are probably bipedal animals, ones with moderate puritiy seem to be able to transform between, while lesser purty lack this, but probably still keep some animal traits. Thats what ive seem to pull from this. Feel free to correct me.

This new Ahri's lore is utter trash. It makes her look common while she's certainly the only one 9 tailed Fox. Old lore makes her unique to LoL universe. Again, riot destroys LoL and it's universe even more.. EDIT Riot fucked Ahri as character few times before by changing voice actors(pre2015 was way better) and also her splashart(current one is superbad). Can Riot finally stop making that many mistakes and actually listen to players?
