Ashe might know of the man with the living blade not from Tryndamere, but from legends spun about Tryndamere from before she met him. I imagine word of that event would have started circulating as he gained notoriety and rose through the ranks to eventually become the King of the barbarians.

She might've then asked him about it later, some time after their meeting, or perhaps she decided to respect his past and privacy. Either way she probably knows some stuff about Tryndamere's past, but depending on how stories about him have circulated may affect whether Aatrox as an entity is known to her or not, even in passing.

aatrox is kinda like this games God of War is he not? im pretty sure everyone who has been in many wars knows him.

whats also interesting is that kindred knows aatroxs "real" name and they do not "fear" him, as if he should be someone to be feared. that is very very interesting.
