I mean, Zed clearly took a few notes from The Shredder, and his lackeys are about as weak as the common Foot Soldiers. They're basically just cannon fodder that can only annoy you.

You are right, it's obvious! Just look at the trailer, Shredder is fighting half human half animal mutants, Zed is fighting half human half animal (magical) mutants!
