Bard Missed the Tradgedy of The Shadow Isles

So I hear Bard goes around prevent great catastrophes from happening. Such as when he took the stone away from the Noxian's to be grasp( Hinting that the Noxian Invasion was retconned in a single vid. Nice Job tho)

So When King Anonymous made his decision about attempting to revive a loved one, where was bard?

As i see it, when the old Ionian used the power of that stone, Bard flew and quickly took it from him and hid it away. Couldn't he had ult the Ritual that was crackking open the barrier between life and death? Then hid the mages away or something? Maybe. Im not sure what he could have did. But we're talking mass murder here. The Shadow Isles had a kingdom on it. Many hundreds lived there. Did Bard not hear the---well.........

It make sense that he reacted due to the power of that stone......But if he was just happening to watch over the Shadow Isles that day....wouldn't he had been able to stop it? His lore states that he prevents certain things from happening due to watch he sees in the Future.(Or fom what Jaredan told us)

So I come to this point, Also, that he is in no way like the former IoW. He can't stop everything(He's only one being) So it's not how like the Iow intervening everything. Although, i still wonder if he was able to stop things like The Shurima Fall, or the Watchers. It's probably why those Tragedies are seen in the constellations. In the Teaser, the Ionians were told of those stories probably to show the things that still happened even though there's a being like bard.

Who said he didn't stop it? What if what we got is BECAUSE Bard stopped it? Maybe that's why it was only limited to the Shadow Isles. For all we know, it could have had the potential to engulf the world.

Also, we know that he was close by during the Fall of Shurima, but he didn't stop it for whatever reasons.

bard's job is to stop powerful artifacts from being misused but its not like he is an all powerful deity so think about it this way

if an artifact is misused, bard will take the artifact and it will never be used again but he can't stop what has been done it's not like he can reverse time or anything he just makes it so that things don't get worse

I thought Bard just tried to maintain balance throughout the world, rather than stop every "bad" thing from happening. While certain events might be viewed as catastrophes by some, Bard may simply see those events as an extension of the usual struggles for survival which occurs every day in nature and the world.

For example, a scrupulous naturalist might feel ill as he watches a lion kill a litter of cheetah cubs, but he would not intervene because such an event is simply the process of nature. However, if he came upon a skunk whose head was stuck inside a yoplait yogurt container, the naturalist would probably intervene and remove the container because yoplait containers were not meant to sway the scales of survival for skunks.

So, I guess I'm saying that humans are skunks and that stone artifact is a mystical yogurt container.

You'd be amazed to discover how much humans request non-intervention and then turn back to question why there wasn't intervention. :| We shoot all His messengers and treat them like utter shit that need to go away or be put to the sword.

I mean... don't you question why there's an old frail man walking up the steps alone? Where were all the people that didn't treat him like shit? Helping him up? Climbing up the mountain themselves with him? -.- Only human to show up was trying to kill him, and if he failed, there would be others right behind him trying to kill him too.

edit: The sage was defended by exactly twelve others standing on the stairs, lightly armored and with some rudimentary weapons but seeming like they were NOT up to killing. A few others standing by the foot of the stairs, on the ground. As to why a younger person didn't carry the orb up, it could simply mean that the orb affected the carrier and only the sage could carry it. Kind of like Bilbo Baggins with the ring.

Even people with great power can't always be everywhere at once. Also, maybe Bard did not have enough power to prevent what happened. Or perhaps aware of Maokai taking the situation into his own hands elected to stay out of it and allow Maokai to be the one who would handle the situation.
