A (Short) Case for Why the Next New Champ Could be Noxian

Bundles with Lore

Camille, a new champion, came with Piltover lore. Warwick, a rework, came with Zaun lore. Galio, a rework, seems to be coming with Demacian lore. (If the icon is to be believed) If Noxus lore is next...?

"Traditional support"

Noxus is one of the few places without a traditional support. Ionia, Freljord, Demacia, etc. all have some form of support. In addition, it was promised that a new support would come out sometime in 2017. The last traditional bot-lane support was Bard. (Ivern is more of a jungler with some support qualities)

Lore rivalries

Piltover/Zaun came out together. If Demacia follows this, their rival is up next (Noxus).

Noxian Blues

Last -core- Noxian was Draven. You could count Kled but personally I don't consider him core to Noxus.

Will we finally get the Noxian drill seargant support that we all have wanted? Where all his abilities are just yelling at his companions to stop being wusses and keep fighting.

If not Noxian I agree we should get another Void champion, Rek'Sai is cool but very much lacks in any actual character compared to Kha'Zix or Vel'Koz.

All of the supports I play are the standard squishy super supp-y supps (Sona, Nami, Janna, Lulu) and just before this era of lethality we were seriously lacking in people who wanted to play tank and everyone wanted a tank supp so I needed to find one and while I also enjoy Taric every now and then (like when my Braum gets taken BD) I needed to find someone else. I also hate the "hook" champ style (I've enjoyed none of them unfortunately :I ) so Braum was really the only logical decision and honestly I've enjoyed him and felt impactful in every game since the very first. He also makes me so happy with his VO!! He's so positive and inspiring. I highly recommend if you're into the Warden play style!

i'll have to try him out then :D i love alistar, he's one of my favorite tank supports, kench was fun for a while, and thresh i was in love with but he's not as fun for me anymore and he doesn't offer too much tankiness compared to kench or alistar

If the next champion is anytime soon my bets is on a Demacian. Yes we will be getting a support this year, but my reason for why they will be Noxian is becausse she will be from the progress day story, and will come along with the urgot rework.

I believe a few of the lore Rioters have mentioned in past that he will remain Noxian in his core, but will have ties to Zaun.

Ah, I haven't heard that one but I will take your word for it. Honestly during the WW commercial when we saw the fat guy with the acid gun get ripped to shreds, plus WWs new line to Urgot made me think that was the connection.

It depends will still be born and bred a noxian, but depending on how they change him into the cyber-monster we know and love, we could see a great deal of his story in/around Zaun.

I would find really hard to make a traditional support with a Noxian mindset/lore.

Unless we are talking about a Noxian outcast it's not going to be.

Honestly a champion doesn't need to be a goody-two-shoes to be a support. I mean just look at Thresh ,the guy has nothing in his lore that fits a support,being an evil bastard who kills and tortures people for fun.

TahmKench as well. He doesn't help others for their benefits more as just his own personal gains.

Yup he is another champ who is rather evil,despite being a support.

Though he fits a bit better into the support position,because Tahm Kench feels like the kind of character who would best work with someone else(even if he is just using the other person)

Mt. Targon Update featuring Aurelion Sol and Taric.

Noxus and Demacia Update featuring (new champion) and Galio.

The new champion is going to be either Demacian or Noxian, because it's going to be released between Galio's rework (with new Demacian lore) and Urgot's rework (with new Noxian lore).

Uhm actually Eve will get her rework before Urgot and she'll likely come out during summer,wheras Urgot will likely come out in fall.

Ah sorry,you are actually right,was my mistake,they do actually Urgot before Eve. Got confused because team alpha is working on Eve,so I assumed she came before Urgot.
