Who would you consider to be a "main villain" in the current champion roster?

So I had this thread on the old forums and I thought I would revive the discussion here:

Is there a champion you would consider to be the "main villain" in the LoL lore?

I gave a few choices in the poll. Swain is a contender merely because of his ambition and his seemingly ruthless quest for power. Malzahar, being the prophet of the void, is also definitely a candidate. I also put Mordekaiser in there because the old lore implied he might be the one in charge of whatever dark forces reign over the shadow isles. I also put Veigar there because he is evil, stop laughing! As a demon bent on spreading war, Aatrox also qualifies. Finally, last time I made this thread, a lot of people seemed to think Leblanc was the one pulling Swain's strings so I put her on there.

So, who do you think it is?

Hero&villain is a thing of the past,

Protagonist&antagonist is what we use now.

Difference is, the first model defines who is good and who is bad, righteousness wins kind of stuff.

The second one is just about different perspectives and ideologies. Protagonist is the perspective we look at the story from, antagonist is just someone whose ideal is against the protagonist.

Hence it's possible for the protagonist to bear some extremist ideologies, while the "villains" in this case would be those who appears more socially correct. This can be used to create all sorts of other more interesting variants than the good o' hero&villain scenario.

It's best if there is no clear "villain", but just people doing their things.

Real talk though, just because Noxus doesn't agree with your ideals does not make them evil. Always annoys me when people say Demacia is good and Noxus is bad.

Mmm...tough one. I think Lissandra should be on the list, since she has a lot of sinister plans to bury the world in ice!

Seriously, the only champions who could be classified as villains these days would be ones like Singed. Champions with no regard for other people other than themselves.

I vote Leblanc, because all the others are who they say they are, but Leblanc could be a false identity and illusion for something much more sinister! She could even be Teemo!

I'd say Malzahar, on the basis that the void is the most unambiguously bad place around, with no yoricks or rivens to tip the scales towards neutral. This is of course assuming he acts as the spokesman for the void.

the problem here is with the exception of the void and maybe the watchersm there is no real bigger bad, just allot of Big Bads to different groups, Swain for example is a threat mostly to Demacia, because say Azir could wipe him off the map, since his villain is Xerath another demigod, likewise there is no comparing Mundo a more shows up causes trouble monster of the week style villain with Viktor's force insanity inducing cybdernetics on everyone world threatening,

I voted for Leblanc. Leblanc

She is not necessarily eeeeeevviiillll, but if anyone were to be the "Final Boss" at the end of the game; if ANYONE were to be the last person standing after the Void had invaded, once wars were concluded, once peons had taken their shots at ambitious revolt...

LeBlanc would be standing mere centimetres from the most influential spot in all of Valoran. And possibly sitting on the throne at the same time.

As someone said, Noxians are not "evil"... so, I Wouldn't put Swain or Leblanc

Malzahar is just a prophet of the Void, but not a "leader" or something like that... in fact, no monsters from the Void, aside from the voidlings and KogMaw are friends with him.

Mordekaiser I dont know... i think that item 3153 The Ruined King is a better choice.

Veigar HE IS EVIL AND BAD, the only problem is the part of "Big"... However, i voted for the MASTER OF EVIL because he is already the FINAL BOSS.

Aatrox even as a dark creature who likes war, he is not "evil" because, after all, he helps the loosing side, in fact, Demacia sees him as a Hero.

Honestly, the void champs seem just to be made for pure evil. Ima say Malzahar ... Edit: ok this is embarrassing. Him + other void monsters like cho.

Swain's a major player in the political and military scene. If Noxus is evil, he is its brain.

Malz is just a prophet from the void, neither inherently good nor evil.

Morde isn't a plotter, he's a suit of armor.

Veigar is actually adorable. This is why we ship him and Lulu. If he ever does anything evil, it will be something like a catastrophic event featuring kittens.

Aatrox is a force of nature; once again, not inherently good or evil. We don't know his intentions yet, so we can't make that call.

Leblanc is Swain's underling, mostly. She might have schemes of her own, but Swain's hailed as the mastermind, so.

Other potentials: -Viktor enacting the glorious evolution. This is a pretty spiteful thing, though he doesn't see it as evil so much as advancement. (Hi Hitler) -Lissandra's definitely got some nasty schemes, but she's off in the North, well away from the major action of the Demacia/Noxus conflicts.

I think Xerath is the main villain since he is basically using the nexus' to take power and break out of his armor so he can be omnipotent and destroy the world or Karthus since he can sing a song and kill anything

Currently I'd say Swain. Noxus is simply the poster boy for the bad guys in LoL and Swain is the leader of them and rose through the ranks by killing his competition.

Although some regions have their own Big Bads,like Lissandra for the freljord(aatrox is more of a personal enemy), Xerath for shurima, Mordekaiser for the SI and Malzahar / Chogath for the void

(morde and cho lack quite a bit in terms of lore,so it is hard to tell if they truly fit that role or not,but they surely make that impression)
