EDIT: May not seem that different, but god damn it's noticable in-game and in champion select.

They put a shadow on his face. That apparently makes the art so unbelievably bad it's worthy of being called a monstrosity?

Honestly sod off with that. That's hyperbole to the highest degree.

Why are people complaining so much about absolutely tiny differences? They eseentially just made his hat (or whatever that thing is) cast a shadow on his face. It's pretty much like they decided that, "hey, his hat could just be slightly bigger and his face could be a bit more sunken back into this outfit."

I personally don't see a problem with this. I don't really see issues with most of the splash arts people are complaining about. People pointing out the most subtle differences, and saying that it looks like trash now... for no real reason.

I get being bent out of shape over the Gentleman Cho'Gath skin changes (because they're giving him the full Graves treatment and then some) but that's because it's being censored because of pretty darn silly reasons. But a slight, barely-noticable adjustment to Karthus's wardrobe is not grounds for a discussion, in my opinion. I mean, if this came out with no warning and just replaced the current one, I wouldn't notice a damn thing.

I think it looked much better without the shadow. There was no need to hinder the original concept. Why fix what isn't broken?

Riot are planning to have universal splash arts and apparently skeletons and dead stuff are bad in china so they darkened it.

Btw i hate this new update as all the new skin splashes just feel incredibly out of place or make the champs (e.g. karhtas)
