The new lore is fantastic.

But I really want to see a Shadow Isles power struggle.

We have Hecarim , a being of pure warfare and destruction, Mordekaiser , the Lord of Murder himself, and
Thresh , the most sadistically malicious being to walk the cursed soil of the Shadow Isles. But the're in such contrast to Karthus , who wants freedom and the beauty of eternal oblivion for all to behold. He just wants what's best for others. We also have Yorick , who just seems to want to do his job. Where does he tie in? What about Maokai, an original denizen of the Blessed Isles who seeks to cure the Isles of their current desolation?

Not all of the spooky peoples are just bad guys. Karthus is genuinely interested in helping the living (sort of), and Yorick, the guy who just wants to do his job so he can finally die and rest in peace.

There's a ton of good stuff happening in the new storyline, but I'd love to see the Isles fleshed out as more than just the regular spooky antagonist for the heroic champs to send back to their coffins to nap for the rest of the year.

I think because the Shadow Isles is such a desolate place, especially during the Harrowing, the sensationalist aspect of the Darkest beings from the Harrowing going against the heroes is a nice thing to propel the story. But Maokai and Yorick aren't a part of the Harrowing so much as just beings that exist on the island. Just like Fizz is never really referenced despite the fact that he's from Bilgewater. He just sort of exists around the periphery
