If the words of the elder from Nami's story is true, why is she there, I don't remember anything about it mentioning in her SS or Bio. is there something she wants there? I thought she was looking for the fragmented memories of why the Solari and Lunari are now enemies and the great menace they must fight. What could she hope to get in Ionia? And with Leona, now looking for her would she also be in Ionia?

Diana might be in Ionia, she might not.

As for why she is in Ionia...it one of the oldest lands with many traditions and ancient knowledge. There a good chance knowledge of the Moon people could be found from one of it many tribes.

You do bring some good points on why she might have gone to Ionia but that seems a ways way just for the possibility of something, though I suppose when one has nothing, a lead is an oasis.

In her story the elders show her that the staff she carries points to the Aspect of the Moon and the direction it is pointing to....is Ionia.

It makes sense that Diana would be somewhere other than Targon area (especially given that some nearby towns have strong Solari influence), and Ionia is a magical land. There aren't that many places she'd want to go, really.
