If the words of the elder from Nami's story is true, why is she there, I don't remember anything about it mentioning in her SS or Bio. is there something she wants there? I thought she was looking for the fragmented memories of why the Solari and Lunari are now enemies and the great menace they must fight. What could she hope to get in Ionia? And with Leona, now looking for her would she also be in Ionia?

The elder stated it was the Aspect of the Moon, not Diana. Bear in mind that the citizens of Runeterra do not have the benefit of a comprehensive lore archive keeping them up to date on all current events.
Diana might be in Ionia, she might not.

Well in Diana lore (and stated in Nami bio) Diana fled Mount Targon.
As for why she is in Ionia...it one of the oldest lands with many traditions and ancient knowledge. There a good chance knowledge of the Moon people could be found from one of it many tribes.
She's not. Nami's tribe is off the coast of Targon, not Ionia. Unless this is the short story (which I haven't read yet) you're talking about and not her bio. If that's the case, I'm wrong.
Probably, the Aspect of the Moon guide her towards Ionia for mysterious reasons or maybe because she want know the world outside of the Targon and started with Ionia for the big magic wich can she hear; it is a curious girl in the end.
I get the feeling that she could be fighting the Void there.
