Bard does not replace the lnstitute of War

Seriously, Stop saying everything replaces something. Bard himself has nothing to do with the people who can read the stories of the stars. He's just a new introduced character. He's a wondering spirit from some dimension. Sure he may advert tragedy here and there but that's because he's suppose to be a benevolent character who protects. The Mountain's Shrine or Great Protector------ adverting some tragedies is something he's known to do.

Come on now.....Everything of the new lore doesnt replace the lost things of the last lore...

Agreed with OP. Separating Lore from Gameplay is making an awful and senseless game to play on.

But, the existence of a powerful extradimensional being who stops such tragedies makes conflict IMPOSSIBLE! Narrative will write itself into another self-perceived corner and go crazy! It'll be the end of the lore world again!

Well, at least this time they'll only have to retcon one character... that should only take them six months to rewrite.

Can't tell if you're being sarcastic but. . .

If he doesn't, why does the new SR have his mark appear on it?

The institute would still exist, the mountain range where they established summoner's rift just happens to be the former home of the Bard people. Hence why Bard's symbols appear there, and they glow periodically to foretell his coming

As for those symbols on the SR

What if these are marks bard leaves behind wherever he goes?Or if they are more or less his entrance points into the world of runeterra?
