Project Vayne treats the Program skin line like they are viruses/programs

But the program Camille splash art looks more like she’s an actual robot in meatspace (Shadowrun decker slang for not being jacked in, felt appropriate) rather than a program in the digital world.

Maybe I’m confused, but I thought that the program skin line were just robots because of this splash, whereas I originally assumed that program skins were actual programs before the release of Camille.

So what are they? Robots in meatspace or actual computer programs?

I think they are robots in meatspace. She is treating them like that, since unlike Project, the Program skin line is indeed AI.

The Projects are human minds in cyborg bodies. Imagine something like Ghost in the Shell. Meanwhile the Programs are more like iRobot, completely artificial in their mind.

She is treating them like computer programs, because just like such programs, all of these have their function they are programmed for and her quotes are related to that.

Lissandra is a big controling system, Soraka's purpose is safety. Meanwhile it seems that Camille is some kind of artificial hacker. She is probably built to infiltrate buildings and then spy and corrupt the software there by hacking. So even an internally closed system is not safe from her hacking attacks.

Long story short: In my opinion, they are actual robots. But you can still treat them as computer programs, since their personalities are actually just that, an AI programmed for a purpose.
