No New Skins for 8.3?
Are the only skins for this patch cycle the updated Swain skins? They do look great though, but my favorite part of a new PBE cycle is seeing all the awesome new skins you guys have conjured up! #feelsbadman

I think the lunar revel and valentines skins are actually gonna be released in 8.3,not 8.2
Meddler made a post a few weeks back explaining there would be small patches and big patches, alternating. 8.2 was big with lots of skins and stuff so 8.3 is smaller. 8.4 will have lots of skins again.
They are busy creating PoolParty Ahri and more Lux skins. /s
The skins for 8.3 are Lunar Revel (Lunar Guardian Nasus/Warwick and Lunar Empress Lux) and Valentines Day (Sweetheart Xayah and Rakan). They were included in 8.2 as you can see them on the live servers on those champion profiles but in the Patch notes only Arctic Ops Gragas will be released during 8.2 The others are set for 8.3 but were on the PBE early so they could get the testing and feedback they needed.
I honestly had a feeling this would happen. Ever since we learned that the Lunar Revel skins & Valentine skins would be release during the 8.3 patch.
I was wondering if we still get new skins on the PBE for 8.3. Well, I have my answer now.
Yeah, it sucks. It always does. Part of the fun is guessing which champs gets a skin next patch. Then find out what champs actually gets a skin & seeing what skinlines are expanded or created. Hoping to see a champ, who lacks skin love, finally getting some skin love. Eventually seeing what the new recall animation is like for those skins (1350 seems to be the standard nowadays, so I don't have to worry about no recalls). For legendary/ultimate skins, it's seeing all the new animations & hearing the updated VO. Especially on older champs who don't have all the bells & whistles newer champs have today. Hearing the special interactions is always great (unless it gets fucked up like it did with Zoe & her 20 lines solely for Lux & Ez or do it weakly like Elem. Lux). I like seeing champs interact with others champs because it give us more insight into both parties. Seeing & hearing the login theme is awesome because Riot's music team always does great work. And to top it all off, the eventual reveal of the splash arts is just a favorite PBE moment of mine. I'm a simple man who likes art. And seeing the great fanart that comes from the skins is just as fun.
But alas, not this time. Just have to wait 2 weeks to have all these feelings again.
Yeah I saw that they had put 8.3 by the Lunar Revels but I was hoping it was just a typo especially since they make more sense to be released in January.
