Can we get more context as to why Fiora only hates Lux and not Garen? If it were just because Lux was a Crownguard, she'd also hate Garen for the same reason.
My guess: Lux was the one who caught Fiora's father trying to cheat. Since Fiora had to personally kill her father afterwards to save her family from exile, she's pretty pissed off at Lux for the whole thing.
Lux bowed her head to her families' wishes, whereas Fiora rebelled actively.
Maybe she is envious of Lux. I mean Fiora was gonna get married to some dude for a political marriage,despite the fact that Fiora wanted to be a fighter.
Lux however seems to have the opposite problem. She was turned into a soldier,she was forced to battle(and currently there is no indication that she is going to marry someone for political reasons,she even seems to date ezreal) Lux basically got the life that Fiora always wanted.
Lux submitted to her families traditions, Fiora did not. She knows Lux is intelligent and it's probably infuriating to her that Lux would let herself be "tamed".
Just because two champions are rivals doesn't mean they hate each other.
Maybe Lux is bitter against Fiora for disgracing her cousin.

It states she's a Rival, that only means fiora considers her someone of worth to compete against and overcome or surpass.
being as lux is a high standing member of the house crownguard which fiora was set to marry has little to do with it.
fiora didn't want to be married off, she's had to fight for everything that she currently has. Lux on the other hand was born with magic gifts and was given her high standing in the military. Just like fiora lux should have been married off to a husband but was instead given everything fiora has had to fight for.
It's probably a simple case of resentment.
fiora also has a Rivaly with jax and that ones simple, shes suppose to be a sword master and he's mastered every weapon conceivable. a perfect example of someone to compete against to prove ones worth.

There is probably more story to it. Most we can do is guess. I'd guess Fiora killed someone Lux cared about in one of her honor duels. But it could be pretty much anything.
Lux and Garen probably looked down on Fiora's house when it was brought to disgrace. Now that her house's honor is restored Lux and Garen are probably embarassed and Fiora is probably still bitter at them for begin so prejudiced before hand.
Perhaps it something to do with the champion of house Crownguard, or maybe the exchange between her father, according to the wiki Lux is simply too optimistic for Fiora's taste, leading to irritation. I don't see how that's enough to make Lux Fiora's rival however, I think the best we can do is speculate.
On a similar note, why is Jax on the list?
She's probably rivals with lux and not garen because shes closer to lux's age then she is to garens. i assume Fiora is 20-24 and lux is 18-22 while garen is probably like 30-35.
I seem to remember hearing that it was actually a really minor thing. She just finds Lux's personality obnoxious - she dislikes her, nothing more.
She rejected the hand of a Crownguard in marriage, which obviously means that all Crownguards start thinking of House Laurent in a bad light - including Lux and Garen. Fiora also is very self-centered. While Garen and Lux have dedicated their lives to protecting Demacia and all who inhabit it, Fiora is more focused on gaining power and respect for her own house. Fiora meanwhile sees them as nothing more than the dogs of a state that would have banished her and her entire family.

Garen is a successful soldier, someone who deserves honor on his own.
Lux is a spy, someone who is treacherous. Not very honorable. Insert various reason for them to hate/despise each other.
I'd imagine it has to do with how she let her family force her into the army and decided her future, If that's still cannon of course. If it's not then I would have to assume that Lux was the one who ratted out the father or looks down on Fiora and Fiora being Fiora doesn't like that. Honestly we need to know more about Lux's lore if parts of it are changed or if its all changed now.
Something that I do wan't to point out though is the fact that Jax is a rival of Fiora. While its obvious as to why, ya know since his title is the Grandmaster at arms, I still like to wonder how it became to be. Perhaps Jax beat her in a deal or (what I personally think happened) is that Jax just brushed off Fiora's challenge saying how he didn't have time or he didn't feel like it. Which was basically saying to Fiora your not worth my time and thus made him her Rival. Just wanted to add this in since we were talking about Fiora's rivals.
