The community opinion on possible Urgot VU.

I have not seen or heard anything specific, or even vague for that matter, but I'm curious about how the community might feel about this possibility.

Right now Urgot is iconically referred to as ugly, which makes sense, but he is also pretty commonly described as fat.

What I'm curious about is how he community would feel if his VU would keep him "ugly" but maybe not so much "fat".

Riot has done some significant changes to the character models for Sion, Poppy, Taric, and Yorick, to name a few. Something of this level could potentially be in store for Urgot as well.

The further they push him outside the realms of commonly understood beauty the better. Make him fat. Make him grotesque. Make him look like grease and oils are oozing out of misused pores and tumble over flesh ridden with stretch marks and pieces of metal poking through. Make him look like a thing that should not be alive but somehow the shambling mass is lurching toward you like something out of nightmares.

I think that he should be monstrous and heavy. Really heavy.

What does it mean? It could be interpreted as a bunch of things- off the top of my head:

  • Fat- Like how Pudge/Stitches/the abominations are in DotA/HotS/Warcraft.

  • Muscular but deformed- Very apparently stitched-up- to the point of his limbs, for example, being deformed- but shows a lot of muscles, even if those are intentionally not anatomically correct.

  • Weight-full- In the way, say, Sion or Mega Gnar look and move like; His animation cycles should look slow but incredibly devastating.

  • Towering- Intimidating and threatening in his height; Should make you feel like you're standing under the shadow of a living mountain's lengthy cliff (sorry if the example is a bit crappy).

  • Heavily-plated- A much more "covered" look, but one that resembles a real-life tank (which fits Urgot's potential fantasy as a 'literal Tank').

-_-

Again, those are just a few types of heavy-monstrous I could think of, off the top of my head. What do you think? I personally feel like all of these should at least be considered and explored when ChampUP will get to Urgot.

Personally I don't really care if Urgot becomes fat or thin as long as he remains a hideous monstrosity.

fat is ugly, they should keep it.

I like the idea of him looking a bit more armored up, too. He should look more tech'd out and stuffed full of machines to keep him run

Urgot is a walking lump of necrotic flesh, kept alive (if just barely) by a combination of hextech and fear.

Should he be fat? Not necessarily, but this lump of dying flesh kept alive by horrific means is not something I want to see changed.

I do disagree with one thing, though.

Urgot should not be merely "ugly".

"Ugly" is hunchback of Notre Dame.

Ugly can be endearing.

I want Horrifying. Disgusting. Vomit Inducing.

Something so horrible you can't bear to look at but you also just can't stop staring.

He should be scary, but not scary like a bloodthirsty monster.

A man, skinned alive and on fire, stumbling out of an alleyway and wailing horrible moans of pain as he staggers through the city streets.

This is the type of gut wrenching shock and horror I want Urgot to generate.
