Not a big fan of the Wukong changes

He went from a king born of powerful magic who honored Master Yi by using his style to fight with, into a common monkey, of whom any one of his tribe mates could replace Wukong absolutely stripping him of any uniqueness or individuality as a character, and is now a student of lower rank to Master Yi instead of having been a great warrior of his own right. Not fucking cool.

downvote all you want, they fucked him up and it's stupid as fuck.

So being an "OP stone monkey from the beginning without character growth" to a "character that has the same personality, charms but can proves that he can be strong even though he just a lowly monkey, which strengthen the reason for him to be the top" is bad ? Okay.

And beside, his old lore is literally copy from the original Journey to the West, so yeaahhhh...

Well he always was Master Yis disciple, which honestly wouldn't have made much sense if he was a better fighter than Yi himself to begin with.

Besides it is a good thing that he doesn't spawn from a stone anymore, that was kinda random.

Son Wukong was technically a normal monkey. And this is a Son Wukong ripoff. So maybe they're normalising him because they feel within their rights to do it. Or something?

I'm gonna be frank - I haven't read any new Riot lore in a while. It could be pretty poorly handled and I'd never know! Sure, everything post-Sion has felt like yucky fanfiction, but I'd still like to give them the benefit of the doubt when speculating on their intentions. I mean, like I said - wukong is a silly monkey. He gets smacked down by goddha for overstepping his bounds.

He's strong through persistence - not through innate magical ability.

(I'm talking about legendary wukong, not league wukong.)
