Well done Riot, you fixed the worst lore in the game I don't know why Alistar shows up to beat the shit out of him but who cares.

That wasn't Alistar. Holy crap Jayce is such an oblivious asshole and I love it.
His lines with the girl are the best.
Yeah. I appreciate how they didn't ignore the elephant in the room of Jayce's arrogance this time around. It was really well done. And unlike a lot of "For the greater good" villains, you don't instantly see a flaw in logic.

I really like how even though he's arrogant, he does eventually come around in the color story to helping that girl.
Also, it's cool how he finally saw how his colleagues all felt with him around when he was trying to find a use for that crystal, maybe he'll soften up. Maybe not. XD
I still kind of feel like he's a jerk. He refuses to help his friend, thinks that he's always in the right, and the one time he realizes that maybe he's been a jerk, he very quickly gets treated better. He suffers no consequences for the what he put the other inventors through.
Not very tragic, IMO.
I love how they really describe how Jayce became an insufferable genius. I really like how the new lore gave an explanation about Viktor and Jayce's relationship before Viktor decided to steal the crystal. Wait, what about Alistar? I didn't see him appear.
I actually don't agree with any of this. The story was cliche and it didn't paint Viktor as tragic at all, it painted him as a moustache twirling villain with no good side whatsoever.
The beautiful thing about the old Viktor lore was that he and Jayce had that Magento/Xavier thing going - Viktor was a bitter former friend with ideals that were dramatic and different, but seen from different angles, Viktor's ideology could be seen as progressive and alternative. He was a man of science, and he used himself as the test subject and used himself to show the world why his Evolution was needed. New Viktor harvests bodies, makes mindless drones, and there is absolutely no connection to him and his works in complete artificial intelligence and automation.
To old Viktor, a constructed golem with an AI, like Blitzcrank, was the ultimate creature, unshackled by organic matter from conception. That is why he seeks to eradicate the organic condition, because flesh only holds the mind back. This is why when we learn that Viktor is using biomatter for his automatons, it doesn't make sense, along with his disregard for free will. To someone who seeks to eliminate the organic condition, the mind is the most precious asset, because the mind is what needs to be preserved. This is why it makes absolutely no sense why Viktor disregards the will of others, especially those he's evolving.
This story was terrible for the way it set up Viktor and was riddled with holes.
