Request - Customizing some of the sounds in the game (especially pings)

If it is not too much to ask, can we please customize the sounds in the game, especially pings? I find it amazing that places like aircraft cockpits, emergency sounds on trucks and other places have done away with the jarring sounds like the pings that we have in the game. Yet we are still stuck with the high-pitched and startling sounds in League of Legends. Could we please(!) have some courtesy from the developers and either (a) have some thought put into the sounds used for the pings, or (b) could we possibly be allowed to change the sounds in the game?
