Can we talk about Ahri's ball casting a shadow?

I noticed something yesterday. I haven't been playing much league this year and I used to play with shadows off. So I turned shadows on and I saw that unlike her other skins, Foxfire Ahri's ball doesn't cast any shadows.

For consistency, I'd like all her skins to be the same. But then I started thinking: a BALL OF LIGHT should not be LEAVING A SHADOW. This also makes me think, maybe riot could do something interesting like have a glow on the ground below where the ball of light is. Maybe even Ahri could have a second shadow behind her while she's holding the ball because if you know basic physics, shadows are created by an object blocking light and ahri has an extra source of light unlike other champs.

So what you're saying is: Lux should have a huge shadow behind her when she ults? :D

Her ball isn't a ball of light, it is a ball of souls.

Well her ball might simply not let other light through it,while only emitting a bit of a glow.

I mean imagine using a glowing solid orb and holding it above the ground. Unless the glowing of the orb is strong enough to reach the ground, then it'll still block the light coming from above and cast a shadow.
