Mmmmm gotta love me some juicy Q&A filled with TONS of information. Most of the answers by Riot are "Well...maybe, we like to leave things to the imagination!" or "Nope, can't tell you that for spoiler reasons." (then no new info is ever learned).

It makes me angry that Riot doesn't even try to show off even the lore they have. No where except in champion bios can you find lore on their website, and those are a paragraph or two at best!

It's pretty goddamn ridiculous WE DON'T HAVE A MAP OF THIS FICTIONAL UNIVERSE AND WE HAVEN'T HAD ONE FOR NINE MONTHS (or several years actually since Mt. Targon).

Like... it's some serious ineptitude that some basic no-contest info about a fictional universe, like... THE MAP... is some kind of corporate secret.

It's ridiculously amateurish to use it as a carrot on a stick to tease some future release.

Either it's not done or there's some serious organization and leadership issues within the Narrative Department.

Every single major fantasy work comes with a map of some sort - to varying degrees of detail to be fair - but a map nonetheless.

Why does Riot treat a map like some kind of life-or-death-hush-hush secret? Esp. considering we haven't had one for over nine months, or years?

Right? If it's a new map. This should have been shown to us before hand. Narrative acts like this would spoil something if they had one. If they do have one what's to spoil?

I think they did mention once that they aren't allowed to show it to us yet,they are either still working on it,think its a good idea to give us the map little by little or there is something about it that they don't want to spoil

lol. Secretlore, surely you don't mean the harrowing and Shurima map. Those maps don't show very much. I wouldn't understand how they aren't allowed to show us a map of regions we already know. It's not really spoiling.

Thats why I said little by little. The shurima map and the harrowing map don't show much,but they show us something and through that we can already see some changes(like the relocation of the Shadow isles or that piltover seems to be not that far in the north now).

In the end its only one of the possibilities and there might be geographical changes that they could see as spoiler for whatever reason.

Shedding little by little is a storytelling style dark souls does, where everything is methodically placed in the world with little hints to draw the connection so the player can piece the world's story together with just the environment. The only examples of that in League of Legends were Journal of Justice relevant as well as the Twisted Treeline item names/map quotes. Everything else has been grains of writing that stop being expanded upon as soon as it comes out. I don't think Riot is actively trying to release bits of information as they are trying to market champions/gamemodes.

Look at Ekkos quotes for example. For years we were left in the dark about Vis and Jinxs connection and Ekko does bring some new hints to that puzzle. He doesn't give us an answer,but he certainly gives us a better impression.

Could you elaborate because besides being knowledgable of both of them from what I can tell there isn't even enough to infer new information. We haven't learned anything new about Vi or Jinx from Ekko other than he's met both. Without new information and plot development where is the story?

We know that Vi is from Zaun,which is actually a major information about Vi.

Also on a side note we also know now that Jinx wasn't always crazy,not very surprising but still something new.

That's because they don't have one. They said "lol guys it's not canon" so they could get away with writing contradictory and nonsensical things for the sake of marketing.

What map? You mean valoran still exists? I dont think so anymore, by riots way of doing things we will soon be fighting in some void with no rhyme or reason.
