I'm becoming more curious about Boram Darkwill with every Noxian update

Boram Darkwill’s last years on the throne were a time of great uncertainty for Noxus, and many with an aptitude for magic left the capital for the relative peace of more distant provinces.

Why would his end cause this to happen? Are there anti-magic Noxians? Who is this man? How did he even become leader? He's been around since Jarvan I, and I think it was stated/implied he uses necromancy. I hope any of the Noxian champions sheds light on him.

The rumor that Darkwill used necromancy to keep himself young (well not really young, more like middle aged) never made sense to me. I mean none of the other nobels of Noxus use necro magic to stay young. Yet most of them are hundreds of years old, maybe thousands in Vlad's case. If anything the Antecedent (thats the nickname i give Boram) just borrowed some Black Rose mumbojumbo plain and simple.

honestly I think that he needs to be left out... In the cinematic he just appeared like a helpless men, which i thought that he was a magical warlock but appears to be a regular guy... I mean how powerful can he even be when he couldnt even help his daughter or contain her powers. super boring and really helpless, nothing special, probably lost his throne because of it

Yeah thats definetly odd. Maybe there was a time when magic was seen as the weapons of a weakling(so physical strenght was valued over magical)? Or Boram forcibly drew everyone with magical abilities into the army?
