[Theory] Jax and the Darkin

So far, we got the revelation about a new champion, kayn, accompanied by a Darkin. We learn through the special interaction that he consider varus as from them. So far we know that

Aatrox is a darkin, we can suppose that he is a previous host who got completly infested by the darkin in the sword. Or he accepted it completly. Kayn on the other side, want to possess it and master the weapon and the living in it (darkin aren't weapons but being living in weapons).

Now my idea is, about Jax

We know that jax have a mysterious past, he's from icathia, and is bound to fight the void. He's a grandmaster, doesn't seems human (3 fingers) neither possess real weapon. Kayn says basicly to the darkin that he's the weapon and the reaper, a tool. Varus is an other case, since he was willing for the sake of revenge, sacrifice everything, i feel that his case is a bit more like a symbiosis, until that his objective is realized, he'll not lost his memories and his awareness (he want to strike only "guilty" people), after, "No turning back"

Now jax? He have no real weapon, he's a warrior, without any faction behind him, he strive to fight, he's a master without any weapon, he's bound to fight the void and not human.

So i wonder what if contrary to Aatrox and the body, Jax is a warrior who wielded a Darkin, and won over it? It would explain in the case of he was a human of Icathia, that he got transformed, but remained himself. It would also explain that he doesn't need any weapon: He's the weapon.

That's just my thought on a good 2:20 A.M.

What do you think people?

Well, Jax never loses. So if it was a Darkin, he definitely won.

Jax was transformed by the void, actually. Also, I think you are right, Jax can be a warrior who managed to defeat the Darkin inside him and remain himself with its power

Four existing statuses of Darkin possession in League:

JAX (Under control). He definitely has a Darkin in his lamp but his will is so strong that the Darkin has not revealed yet.

VARUS (In control). The Darkin Bow agrees Varus to use its power for vegeance. As such simple partnership.

KAYN (Chaotic). Rhaast seeks control on its own. Rhaast wants to be free by defeating Kayn's personality. As in game, when Rhaast took over we can no longer turn back in Kayn's form or hear Kayn's voice. When Kayn took over, we can no longer hear Rhaast's arguments.

AATROX (Live). He is completely took over whoever used to be the host. Independent and conscious!

Jax is the farthest thing away from a Darkin user

Jax's whole shtick is that he is so powerful, despite not having a real weapon.

The lamp is comically supposed to just be a lamp, and he's just that badass that he whupped you with it anyway

this would be a really cool skin concept imo like as the game goes on he gets slowly more and more corrupted by the darkin based on his damage as the game goes on, similar to kayn

I actually think he is not a Darkin, I think he is one of the last remaining Magelords that were mentioned in Aatrox lore. Probably the last and most powerful one. As he fights by imbuing any weapon with magic which kinda could mean that.

I think that is actually a pretty solid theory. After all if Jax can master any weapon, then that'd mean that he'd be able to master a darkin weapon as well.
