Vayne is someone that seeks out and kills any monster of the night, so I get the impression that she may or may not be have some connection to Lucian and his organisation, either that or she is a lone wolf as Riot said that she was the "Batman" to Lucians "Superman" before he got bitter and harden after his wifes death.
What is you guys take on the matter?
I think Vayne is too involved in her own revenge quest and her personal demons to submit to organizational bureaucracy. While you are right to point out the parallels between Vayne and Lucian's ideals and even their behavior, I choose to attribute that to common Demacian values. They both are motivated by their pasts to cleanse the world of evil, but while Lucian hunts the ghosts and undead of Valoran, Vayne condemns the more corporeal evils.
