A question on bards lore.

Firstly I want to say my body is ready for the new dragon champion http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-nmW-w7cT9Kg/TuogxBlqSwI/AAAAAAAADss/hrICaCykRW8/s1600/dragon-artwork-26.jpg

Lol secondly i was wondering, I read a long time ago someone said riot confirmed that the thing Bard carried during his intro movie was actually former Ao Shins egg. Was that actually confirmed or did people make that up? And if so it was confirmed what will happen to said egg?

I'm wondering because I know with the new Mt Targon lore being about cosmic beings will bard come into play? Will the thing(egg?) he carried be important? His lore is so vague that he could be part of the event. I know the popular opinion is that it's Taric and it might be, but I'm just throwing this out there. Is it going to be bard and the egg thing? Or will they not be involved?

Has Riot actually said anything about the item Bard carried? I mean Mt Targon, change a few letters and reagrange it and targon= dargon= dragon lol. Plus his name Aurelion sol seems to fit into the lore if you compare it to say Pantheon and his real name and such. So it's likely he might be a part of this event. Does anyone know about bard?

It is confirmed to be an egg.

Of what we do not know.

Bard's a being that travels around all planes that intersect with Runeterra, so he likely has dealt with affairs in the planes that one can see around Mount Targon. His primary concern is Runeterra's plane though, so how much dealings he has had with the alternate worlds tied to the mountain is debatable.

Mount Targon's probably one of his points to watch though. While he often appears to deal with artifacts and the like a place where realities blur and other dimensions can be reached would probably be of great note and concern for the Caretaker, I mean we have beings from that Silver and Gold City, Voidborn and sod knows what else. I wouldn't be surprised if Bard spends a great deal of time traversing the ways around Mount Targon just to make sure nothing fishy's going on. We don't know just how many planes intersect with Runeterra or how many have points of entry in to Runeterra at Mount Targon, so who can really say how important the mountain is for Runeterra as a whole?

Still wondering if the Sun Disc has ties to one of those alternate planes. I'm formulating head canon over here.

I think that was never confirmed.

It was confirmed that the thing was called "cosmic egg",which does hint at the possibility that something could hatch from it.

However we know that this incident occured in Ionia, not Targon,so I doubt there might be a connection to the targon lore here and even if there was one,I doubt they would list bard as a targon champ, because bard isn't limited to one nation,he's pretty much wherever he wants.
