How come you(for the story and art section only) you won't respond to criticism on the current lore. But answer ANY questions that are for the current lore from a person who seems like they really don't know the lore very well?

Such as someone asking about xerath's story from last year. But If some one were to ask "why isn't the promised lore here yet?" You don't even say anything to it. And If u we're to actually do it, you do it while u grit your teeth. Face the fucking facts, 85% of the people who likes lore want answers like a showed above. The rest are people who would ask "Where are you guys finding all this lore?" or @Riot So what exactly does Xerath's lore mean? Like seriously? You think it's best just to respond to threads like those but not threads like Riot, lets talk lore or Questions about Riot's plan for lore

Like come on, It's something to learn that you don't have a Narrative team through hidden clues. But now I see it's just "Champion Teams" and whoever is assigned for the lore. You couldn't tell us that instead of going along with us always asking for Narrative? What exactly is this tech issue? Or is that another Lie? Why don't you tell the community everything so we can understand? When you don't do that people pounce on reds because no one comes here to actually explain things.

Be honest for once. What do you expect us to talk about when we don't even know whats going on with the lore? You want to talk about core concepts, but how do u expect us to just talk about it If you can't even do something we want? Lore has drawn in alot of people including myself and to see it go in shambles from one Dev Blog is really disappointing and discouraging. It's even worst for you to constantly Tell us things that's not even going to happen. I hardly play the game anymore because I'm constantly on the Story and Art Boards hoping I'd see something new developing for the lore of this game. I have to convince myself to play it again by looking at the champion bios on the client.....How about you start acting like a real organized company and show a small part of the League community some love for once!!!

It should be obvious by now. They are disorganized and the intelligence pool is underwhelming at best. They finally figured out they can make toys and sell them...congratulations, but even a broken clock is right twice a day. Dozens of other companies understand money, and all riot has to do is watch some tv commercials and holy crap!...they will see how disney makes money. What does money have to do with your lore thread?

Answer: Lore is nothing more than a carefully weaved series of backstories or "short stories" quite frankly most serious DnD players have done better in their spare time that Riot had done with any number of characters they made up over the last decade. What are short stories? Books waiting to happen. What are books? Money waiting to happen!

Think about it. what does disney or quite frankly any other company do ever in history of marketing.

  1. make original product.
  2. make toys and statues and plushies and tshirts 3)make movie 4)make tv series
  3. make books 6)make soundtracks

are we seeing a pattern? create anything remotely related to the original work and sell it, holy crap its not rocket science.

So why the lack of lore? Riot is seriously stupid. There can be no other explanation. Create the lore...write the books...sell them for money...FFS!!!! Be a COMPANY!!! SELL STUFF!!!! Amumu

Most threads I see that are completely passed over are either complaining about the gutting of champion lore, or asking questions about what's coming. No one likes complaining, and they are unwilling to spoil what they have planned.

As for them being "honest", I can't think of many times where they have gone back on their word, and I can't think of any time where they outright lied. If you have evidence to the contrary please post it.

League is a game based on 20-60 minute skirmishes. We sit in a lobby while we choose our champions. I'm a lore NUT. I love reading about the stories and characters. I roleplay in RPGs, make my own OCs.

I don't understand why people place so much important on League lore. I care about champion kits, and the way the interact inside the actual game.

You can't say you want decent lore, then turn around and complain about how long it's taking.

Unless you're pointing that statement at me, then...what the hell bro?

You're also hung up on the fact that I claimed I was a lore nut. I do enjoy lore. I tend to get very absorbed in it. I only mentioned it so that you would know I DO enjoy lore (because personally, nothing is worse than someone that doesn't care about story telling you that story is not important. ) I don't actually care if you don't agree that I love lore, so I'm not sure why you keep bringing it up.

I'm done with this thread though. The basic message you're trying to send is that you want communication, and from other threads I've read, Story & Art has kind of been abandoned by officials?
