I don't see how that's not interesting, I mean he's a god damn river demon. A mother fucking RIVER DEMON. How many times do you meet fucking RIVER DEMONS that look like CAT FISH IN A SUIT AND TOP HAT AND SPEAK WITH A SOUTHERN ACCENT?!?!
I kinda wanna see what he looks like when his appearance is attuned for other parts of Runeterra. I want those.

Personally I believe the problem is a bit elsewhere/another reason why not to care. The reason is shared with a lot of recent champions. ((Let's just put aside the fact there's no logical reason why other people couldn't copy Ekko's time-device and screw around as well))
When announcing the great retcon, Riot stated they didn't feel comfortable with summoners because they were these OP entities that'd solve everyone's problems just by snapping their fingers...and then they make champs like Bard.
So now instead of a complicated corruptible system based on trust, you've LITERALLY got an omnipresent guy who solves all the great crisis by himself just like that ((probably by stealing some of your shit)).
The same design goes for Kalista, Tahm Kench and probably some other who I don't even care about enough to remember. They are these forces of nature that no-one can actually do anything about, because they're just there for the sole reason of screwing with people.
