That's more of an observation than a doubt of mine. It's just that before the revamp of the lore, we would see 
at every chance given, in promotional material, and lore stories. Now, specially after all the character deveopment she has faced, 
seems to have taken that spot.

Guessing they think MF is a more exciting character these days, after Burning Tides she became like a bad ass pirate queen and bounty hunter. Imo that's very marketable and exciting
Riot should be changing their main characters every once in a while. Most people get bored of playing the same champions for months, so why would we want to stay with the same cast for our entire involvement with the game?

Because she's the better redhead.
Katarina's still a major poster girl for gameplay. But because of how awesome MF was in Burning Tides, I figured Riot's gone with her in the lore department.
Perhaps when Kat gets a lore update herself, she'll return to being a poster girl. But I don't mind seeing Miss Fortune getting some spotlight for once.
I think it's because, when it comes to lore updates, MF's update in her lore as an individual had THE BEST turnout and reactions.
It delivered on everything that we wanted. We wanted her an updated. We wanted her to be more serious as was suggested in lore but never seen. She went from ditzy gal to being a gritty, hard knuckled buccaneer who will do what it takes to get what she wants. The expanse on her personality was a 180 or some random turn in a weird direction. It's what she was always meant to be, and that excited EVERYONE.
So yeah. She's poster girl now cause of all the females, she's the only one with general sex-appeal who is a straight up bad ass.
I feel like they have multiple poster girls. Miss Fortune is just the most recent to become one. I think Jinx in many ways is a poster girl (though not as used as MF or Kat), especially for new comers. I've heard multiple accounts of people who got into League because of Jinx's music video. Hell, that's part of how I got into League (along with Thresh).

I noticed that kat hasnt been used a lot like she used to be (for promotional material and other small details like the shop loading icon). I dont mind it too much but i would love to have more lore/cinematic stuff for her
