Seeing as Riot's lore team is taking far too long to come up with anything, and makes empty promise after empty promise, I feel it might be beneficial if the community simply take the lore out of Riot's hands. But since my lone opinion means nothing, I'll put this issue to a poll.
Do you think the community should be the writers instead of Riot's own team?
No, I'd rather leave it to the professionals. They do listen to our input. And hopefully we'll be getting some more stories soon!

If Riot cannot and will not create a decent lore team, why don't they outsource it? I know lots of game developers outsource 3D modelers to create tons of models fast. Riot has a lot of money. They could outsource the lore to someone for a fair price and keep the community satisfied.
I always assumed there were a great deal of folks who did this anyway and went their own way with the lore, because you know, they were rightfully pissed off enough. At the end of the day Riot's gonna keep adding to the lore in whatever way they deem fit to do so, but if people wanna say "Nah sod that, I'll take it and do it the way I want!" then they're free to, I mean Factions exists as the primary example of this.
I personally trust Riot and I like what they've given us thus far, that may change but for now I'm sticking in Riot's lore boat.
Riot cant do that without running into legally problems. Also, there are how many league players? How are we going to agree on anything? I say leave it to the professionals. Its one thing to think of something but another thing to put it into work.
Besides we have people like lightdragoon88 who makes great stories already and I know there's one for the weekly champion rotations. A

I've seen so many player creations much better than Riot's own lore such as factions. The community has many talented individuals who could most likely write better lore than Riot's own :/.
They would certainly do a better job. League of Legends had such a cool lore, but somehow Riot is managing to screw it up through their retcons. (which you would think would make lore better!)
