Any ideas, I imagined he would be a green spirit but spirits often look like humans and Mao'Kai never fully trusted humans. Would he just be like a floaty ball thing?
Also what was the shadow isles thing called when everything got screwed over. ruination?

Maokai i believe did not have a form or appearance before he became Maokai.
In his lore it said that only his bark was corrupted, so I would imagine that he looked more like and ivern version of himself now...?
Maokai never wanted to be sentient.
He was just a big, old tree before the ruination.
In his current VO, he has several lines alluding to how he wants to go back to being a tree.
The new VO changes that quite a bit.
