Pyke's Haka Dance

So I was looking at the preview for Pyke and I saw him doing that little war dance thingy while standing still and all I could think was, "Hey. It's Maui..." I looked it up and it's a Maori thing. What's an undeadly assassin got to do with New Zealand natives?

I'm guessing his ethnicity is The Serpent Isles (the same place Illaoi is from) which is basically the Runeterra equivalent of Polynesia/New Zealand.

The only other explanation I could come up with is that Riot simply likes that dance since Rengar also has it.

Rengar does it too. Both employ rugby tackles in their kit. It all comes together.

You're right, they should have gone for one of the famous undead assassin dances we all know so well

As a NZr, I'm pretty happy they have something of ours, no matter how small, and added it into the game.

Hey was quite curious about this too as a nzer. Did riot get permission from nga toa to use the haka or anything cause they don't really like parodies of their symbolic and meaningful war dance eh? Haha couldn't find anything on it. But like if they haven't haha there's gonna be some lawyers on to them which riot can afford but was curious of if shit'll hit the fan about it
