Do you think that Riot will ever introduce a new faction, nation or region?

Or rather do you think that will ever more fully flesh out one of the regions that already exist? Not just by adding a champion (which is always cool), but by providing a simple culture (they don't have to go all out like Bilgewater). But I am curious, I know that there is more to the world of Valoran, and Runterra, there are many places that have been left forgotten, and there is still much unknown and in the shadows about places we even do have a bit of information on. I would like the rest of Runterra to be unveiled and those left over locations inhabited

I mean is the map even still usable, is it still valid?

If so it kind of makes your wonder what kind of champion could come from a place known as... The Bubbling Bog The Howling Marsh The Marshes of Kaladoun The Glade Morgan Pass The Fyrone Flats The Tempest Flats Kaladoun

If the map is not valid, it definitley needs an update. I mean the Serpentine is supposedly in or near Bilgewater based on recent information. And in addition Bilgewater is no near the Shadow Isles, tho its distance from Ionia seems about right. If anything I would like a Map update, to clear up so of these confusions and curiosities.

Even some places that we have champions from I would like to know more about.

We know that they will likely continue to flesh out established places such as the Blue Flame Islands which include Bilgewater and Isle of Buhru ("newly" announced region and birthplace of Illaoi)

What about a nomadic society?

But it still makes you wonder what else could be out there.

Well, they introduced Shurima fairly recently, and they retconned a bunch of characters to have some relation to it. So, they're still adding to their world, rather than just fleshing out what they've already got.

Technically, Pix is from the Glade, Lulu was born in Bandle.

And since now it's yordles who seem to be whimsical fae creatures who live forever, we don't exactly know what he is. The lore will need to be tweaked or redone entirely :/

The map is no longer canon this was confirmed already a long time ago.

Anyway I doubt that we'll get completely new nations,but I guess that new regions(like a volcanic one?) wouldn't be odd. I mean the current nations seem to cover already pretty much everything they need.

I wish that some Rioter would just update it already then. I agree that a new nation is unlikely, but I would like some of the regions if still in the new map when made to be fleshed out more

Shurima - Covers ancient civilization Noxus - Covers the token violent guys Demacia - Covers the token good guys Piltover - Covers advanced science Zaun - Covers crazy science Glade - Covers Fairies and whimsical magic Void - Covers aliens Jungle - Covers most beastial champions Freljord - Covers all ice related champions Wanderer - Covers all overpowered champions Shadow Isles - Covers undead champions Ionia - Covers most martial art oriented champions Bilgewater - Covers Pirates and stuff

I don't see a design where you need to make up another faction as most themes are part of or covered by the existing factions.

Roman or Greek I guess... But if you wanted to, you could make Leona and Diana Shuriman (Sun Disk, ancient weapons and religions) and Panth Noxian (Thrives in Battle) and you wouldn't lose much. I hope the eventual Mount Targon update will make their niche more appearent (Taric is supposedly joining them).

What do you think about additional Factions ? Do we need them ? And if yes, what should they represent ?

Even so, some of those locations could be fleshed out more, and what about more Indigenous type societies like those of the Isle of Buhru.

And I do have one type of society that I think could be used: Nomadic societies

Not just lone rangers or wanderers, but whole societies that are constantly on the move throughout the year.

They could be the type of societies that are kind of between starting to advance and traditional, they still roam as large tribes to follow crops in their seasons and wildlife to hunt, yet are still knowledgeable of advanced society and might use a few effective tools from advanced society integrating them into their traditional practices. I could see a nomadic survivalist type society taking root in the Fyrone or Tempest Flats

I'd say you present a good argument that most society niches have just about been filled, but there could be room for one or two more. If there are regions left, I want to know what could be there. Otherwise just update the map an get rid of what will not be used.

Doesn't Buhru belong to Bilgewater ? I think it could be a part of fleshing out the factions by introducing their capitals and biggest cities.

Can you really imagine a nomadic society in a world brimming with Voidlings, Magic and other monstrosities ? Rek'Sais lore introduced caravans that get used to transport goods in Shurima and they get regularly destroyed by her.

What niches can you think off ? I aggree we definetly need an updated map.

Tribal? Port Town, Trade center = Merchants? What about people or creatures that live high in the sky?

I'd still like for the culture that Nami comes from to become more fleshed out (Sadly it seems that they made Fizz's culture just disappear)

Yes but it is being more fleshed out, I want regions that no one knows much about to be fleshed out almost as much as I want a region such as the Fyrone or Tempest Flats to be introduced.

Plus they talked about nomadic and tribal societies

That place sounds cool and I would love to see someone from there just for the heck of it. Seems to be a rocky place with a river end. It also sounds dwarfish.

By the way, there are confirmed new locations lore-wise, and later champions might hail from these too.

It's inevitable. Whenever a game starts losing sales or players, they introduce something new to get people back.

Having hopes is one thing,having delusions another.

Something as important as nomadic tribes around mt.targon was surely not a last-minute addition(especially with all that localisation that has to happen before releasing something like this)

I think Im gonna have to Update my Ethel Champion concept. She is a much better fit for the new Targon than Demacia
