You just described 100% of the rage I felt when they reworked Karma in the first place.
They reworked her because she was unhealthy, essentially. In her state, she could not be balanced for the game: she was weak, but that was because she had to be, because when she was strong, she was VERY strong.
Her Passive gave her AP for how much % health she'd lost, up to 90 total. This fit her theme of "karma;" e.g., the more you hit her, the harder she hits and heals, but when you think about it, it's pretty broken.
Her Q was a damage wave in a cone (think Annie W).
Her W was a tether that attached herself to an ally or enemy (on an ally, it boosted movement speed; on an enemy, it decreased it for them). In addition, enemies that passed through the line would also have their movement lowered AND in addition take a metric fuckload of damage.
Her E was a shield similar to what she has now, but it was more powerful and didn't have the movement boost.
Her Ult was Mantra, except it worked on the Charge system. She created a Mantra Charge every 30 or so seconds and could store up to 2. Her Q2 provided a heal based on missing % health to allies in the cone as well as the damage; W2 provided double movement effects (useless); and her E2 did massive damage in a radius around her shield target (similar to live, but didn't shield all surrounding allies, no mass speed buff, and did WAY more damage). It was referred to as the "Shield Bomb."
And now she's....
Well she really likes to cast her Q a lot.
