I'm sure Riot eventually plans to replace hers, but I am of the opinion that it's not needed. Hers is very good, especially the face. Simply beautiful.
But I'm sure Riot gives no f#cks about just ONE opinion, so let's put it to a poll.
I wouldn't mind a new one if they do it right.
But... they didn't do Vayne's right, they didn't do Kayle's right, they didn't do Ahri's, or Janna's right...
I don't really trust that they'll manage to do any better with Leona.
Compared to the new splashes rolling out, Leona needs an updated splash.
Other new splash arts be like in combat mode, while Leona's current one is just like "Look at me, im shiny rofl lol" She could use a new one....
I do enjoy the face of the current splash but I would much more like an update to her as she is just one of the many that is in dire need of an update. The image really doesn't even show anything specific of what her champion can do, and that's a main focal point of the new splashes.
The image of her just standing there, not really like defending or using her power as a tank doesn't really give a good perspective of who she is.
I understand they want to update the splashes, but Leona's should be one of the last. It's just in really good shape.
I like how Leona looks like on the Team Builder picture.
Leona needs a new splash because it's too static.
She needs something like the "new dawn"

Leona's current splash is nice, but I don't think it's comparable to the same quality as Ahri's new splash. I wouldn't mind a new splash for Leona personally. Also, all the new splash art have been really nice and detailed, I don't know why you'd think if they did replace Leona with an up to date one it would end up cruddy.
It's pretty static atm and I'm sure IronStylus will ensure the face looks great even if he doesn't work on it. I'm personally hoping for a new Quinn splash so Valor's wings can be more to scale.
Make new Splash arts for Diana and Leona when they do Mount Targon event. I want to see a bunch of history and cultural hints in them rather than the almost watermark backgrounds of the past.

Does it need to be a badass action pose?No,but it could be something besides her just standing there doing nothing with a bland angle & bland ass background.

As for Leona herself,I say take the chance to buff her a bit,you know give her some muscles.If the artist doesn't,that's fine as long as the splash is good.
Hell,if they want to alter her design a bit,I'm all for it.Though,not too much or else the in game model (which won't need a VU,most likely a small one, for another 3-5 years,visually the model & abilities are good) doesn't match the splash art.
Yes,update the splash to fit with today's standard.
Considering how almost every new splash art Riot has done has been better then the original, I think that Leona's new splash will be awesome.
I am kinda torn on this one. I think it looks really great,but I dunno if it fits the other splash arts that well.
personally I'd say she doesn't really need it,but I think a new one wouldn't be that out of place as well.
