The lack of skins for her, even with that extensive leak, coupled with no champion interactions at all even with Ionian related ones lately, has convinced me Riot is waiting on a full scale update.
But I desperately would like confirmation.

I think her model and visuals are fine and I don't think they are going to update her kit again unless they have to.

I mean did any ionian champ get their lore updated?No. We got a story that involved Ionia and also included Ahri,but it is focused on the Vastaya and Ahri neither received a new bio nor a color story. And while the Vastaya originated from Ionia,they live in other regions as well.
Judging by some Riot/Sharjo comments that we recently got it looks like we'll get a Vastaya-lore update soon,but that wouldn't just focus on Ionia.
