So I saw dat splash.

Now compared to the old one it is an overall improvement.

The Good

  1. Overall quality is way up, from a technical perspective Evelynn looks a lot better.
  2. She's being more active in this pose
  3. Sexually suggesting in a bad way fits her
  4. It got her outfight right and the outfit looks pretty cool.
  5. I really don't want riot to change her ingame model aesthetically when she gets her VU. I hope they clean the model up, but keep her current looks and style.
  6. That look of glee is right for her

The Undecided

  1. I'm not sure about her pointed fangs. They kind of fit and I know people where hoping she's a vampire, but they are new.
  2. Her claws is another thing, she seems to be wearing metal finger claws which is cool, but part of me thought she was a little cooler when she was dealing damage with her nails alone. Overall I'm meh on the change as she had well manicured hands.
  3. The new shade of blue isn't bad, but I think I liked the old shade better.

The Bad

  1. Why are those stone spikes there? Her ult doesn't make stone nor does her Q. I wish her artist would get it right. SHE'S NOT MALPHITE!
  2. I really don't like the out of focus background style you are using here. Slightly out of focus would be okay, but y'all overdid it.
  3. WHERE IS HER BLOODY VAULT HUNTER SYMBOL? She never had a plain circle. There was always that small upside down V in it. I wouldn't be this angry but you've guys highlighted it to the point I have to call y'all out on this mistake. SHE'S GOT A GLOWING SYMBOL ON HER FORHEAD AND YOU CAN'T EVEN GET IT RIGHT! Does the art team even pay attention to little things or is Lee Sin in charge of it? Size-wise the circle is also a little too big. It's begging cait to shoot her in the head.
  4. You can't see her boots. She's got these cool heeled boots and you guys aren't showing those things off.
  5. Her breasts are too small (with I think is a part of her aesthetics and appeal) even worse, her top is screaming push up. It's obvious and it's not flattering. Getting caught with fake cleavage makes you tacky. Thanks riot, evelynn now comes off as tacky.

  7. No really, why is his blood purple?

Overall, I really like the general direction about her new splash. Still, I think the loss of her vault hunter symbol is one of those little annoyances that is going to bug me forever. I mean even the things I'm undecided on look good on her.

However I need to get to the elephant in the room... her boobs reflect an insecure personality. Now before you all downvote this, riot screwed up a lot with her new top. In the past Evelynn was fantastically well endowed and I loved it. However this new evelynn is more than lacking endowment: she's insecure about her looks. She went from having big boobs to being someone who is upset about lacking them.

And that's just sad on two fronts. Riot's artists changed a visual aesthetic but they also screwed up her core personality. She went from being someone who had it and flaunted it to someone who is desperate for attention but is insecure about her looks and is looking stupid because of it. Obvious fake cleavage is obvious. She went from being "yeah this is me" to "I need you to look at my flat boobs". I just don't like that and I think that change in personality isn't Evelynn.

Now I know a lot of people love the smaller evelynn, but I think she was better when she was bigger and confidant instead of smaller and desperate.

So let me ask people an honest question, why is someone with a perma-stealth passive so desperate for someone to stare at her flat chest? That just doesn't logically add up. In fact her passive makes more sense with bigger boobs because she could use it as a way of getting some peace and quiet from time to time. Now she feels like she's crying for help or attention... Or she's just plain tacky now.

Frankly I liked evelynn before she was tacky, or insecure, I can't tell which. Maybe both.

Now can someone please tell my why helmet bro is bleeding purple?

Who the fuck are you? A doctor in the field of the effect of boobs on fantasy characters? It's just a splash art, and she looks way better than before. I dont play evelyn, and one of the first reasons i didnt was her ugly splash art.

I'm happy her boobs are now securely in her bra.

Her old splash made me nervous, looked like they were about to fall out and she would have some slippage of the nippage

With the size of her boobs and how her bra straps are, that bra would not hold her boobs up. I'm happy they fixed that.

I am not the biggest expert on female anatomy ever but I'm not seeing the "Evelynn's top is trying to show you something that isn't there" thing. If anything I feel like her top is restricting her cleavage a fair bit.

Most of the things you pointed out that were unsatisfied with, I think it's not mistakes, it's artistic choices. Blood/liquid's purple is to fit with her color theme, nothing's wrong with that. Breasts size, this is brought up too much its getting old... I like varieties, but I think hers are fine. I think the stoney spikes are suppose to be hate spikes (Q), it comes from underground up so I think it's appropriate.

Shut the fuck up, all your problems with the splash are either completely unfounded or just personal nitpicking with issues that aren't really issues.

I personally like the change. Now Evelynn looks like she might growl in a demonic voice "You're next" rather than seductively purr it. Seduction is Ahri's field, Evelynn is in it for the murder.

just be happy we don't have to deal with her old hideous face any more. I do however agree heavily with the heels, those represent her a lot and you do not see them in the splash.
