Which is like several skins plus a huge investment in gameplay design and coding. I don't think people are going to die if he doesn't get a skin for a few more days. You are asking the art team to come up with designs on a champion they JUST came up with designs for. There are champions more desperate for new artistic input like... Swain. Swain needs a VGU, I wouldn't bother giving him a skin till he gets one. Same goes for any VU, VGU slated champions. And VGU champs should get artistic priority over recently VU/VGU champs getting a new skin. Calm down. They aren't going to stop the artist from coming up with skin ideas for other champions just because they haven't had an idea for outdated or recently updated champions. What's more is if you want the artists to have creative passion then there is a limit to how forced skins would be. Yorick isn't "entitled" to a new skin, it would be nice to get one like any other new skin. But it shouldn't be "forced". Change out names and this applies to any other champion. If YOU have a skin idea post a drawing or description, be a creator, not a complainer. Thank you

Fiora was a while ago on her VGU. Taric yes. That just means the art team had skin ideas for them. Yorick is a hunch over dead guy with a very fixed thematic, coming up with new artistic ideas for him isn't as easy as giving a normal human different clothes, hair and accessories. I think he should get one but it isn't a circlejerk worthy panic.

I'm pretty sure PROJECT: Fiora came out a patch, maybe 2? after her release.

There have been a bunch of good ideas for him, that's probably not the issue. I think he should get a new skin, but constantly making threads and posts about it is not worth the effort IMO, Riot is aware of it, and they will get to it eventually.

That means they she probably was going to get the skin regardless if she was updated. Skins are rarely determined by factors outside of whether or not the artists have a good idea for a champ skin. eg of outside factors (worlds skins)

This is not true. If they know there is a champ getting a VGU soon, they will deliberately not make skins for those champions to avoid the double work of creating the skin once, then recreating it again once the champion gets updated.

For that case, they most likely had a model to use. In most cases, they don't.

Making threads about it though brings awareness that people want a yorick skin though.

Look at Karthus or Twitch. They got their model updates years ago and Karthus recently got his first skin and Twitch still hasn't even gotten a skin with particles yet. People didn't ask for skins so they didn't get them.

The problem comes from the whiny accusatory tone. The art dept makes skins that will make money and that they have interest in making. Meanwhile "Waaah the champion I sorta like didn't get a skin but a pretty one did waah!"

Eyup that is how supply and demand works. If more people will pay for a skin on Orianna it is more beneficial for more people to make it. It should suffice to say "I'd love a Yorick skin. Here is an idea." Minus the whining.

You're gonna get an accusatory and whiny tone in any game. People will always want more. But to ignore them because of that is silly, they ARE the consumers.

You also have to take into consideration that Riot purposely made a nichè champion. If they are going to make a nichè champion than they should support it. While more popular champions are definitely going to get more skins, it doesn't mean they should just altogether ignore others that aren't.

Another thing to take into consideration is that a cool skin could bring in more mains for said champion. There are a lot of people who buy skins on a whim for champions they've never played before and end up liking said champion. If riot were to make more skins for nichè champions I bet those champions playrates would go up.

Yes, people were doing the "I'd love a Yorick skin. Here is an idea." minus the whining, and they are actively ignored for quite long time, so I don't understand how their frustration isn't justified. Because of few new threads of people being distressed by what champs are about to get skins we call demand for Yorick skin a "circlejerk" (a term that itself is becoming but a buzzword) ignoring all attempts before (months before)?

It's easier to claim things like that when one has enough skins on their favourite champ and main. I don't need to care about Yorick mains but I fully understand their frustration and accusing them that the frustration isn't justified seems to me really ignorant.

They said that Fiora was a rare occurrence cause hers they had actually started the skin before they did the update. So they pretty much had them back to back.

Taric's was, as with Poppy, stated that they'd get theirs a lot faster than Sion did. But right now Yorick should be kind of looked at as Sion in which do we really want them to rush out a skin and have it not be anything amazing that it could be? I don't. I hope they take a bit of time, which yes it's been 7 months or so now but still I have hope he could see one this year or early next.

At this point i'm expecting a legendary skin for Shen. Most likely Project: Shen because they sell well and we don't have a Purple hue skin in the project line. This would also be a good opportunity to update his VO like they did with Lux since they didn't do it the first time around.

Also I would say the team working on classic skin releases and on rework releases migh be different teams as I'd imagine under rework team being everyone needed for the overhaul.

I don't understand how players of reworked champ should get calmed down because of champs that are yet to recieve rework? That doesn't make sense. Champion like Swain will get their rework regardless of Yorick's skinline, and they will get new skin after that rework regardless of Yorick skinline.

So Yorick players are justifiedly stressed by lack of proper skins for him. Especially when community gave more than enough concepts and ideas what it could be.
