I'm sure I'm not alone on this, but I kind of think Xayah is pretty hard to sympathize with
From everything I've read, it seems like she's kind of bigoted, close-minded, and is leading her people to absolute doom.

That's the point of her character. Some characters are just meant to be dislikes or unable to be related to. Like how many people do you really think can relate to someone like Swain for example.
Well when your first interactions with humans involve being attacked, along with your tribe and others being kidnapped, you'd have a hard time trusting humans too. No one gets on Garen's case for not liking magic, or anyone's case for not liking Noxus.
Xayah has a good cause and a pretty awful way of going about it.
I don't think she's wholly unlikeable; I think she's got ideals that are meant to be scrutinized and seen as extreme, and we're meant to see the flaws in her cause, but I also think there are positive traits to her character that can be built on and developed. She strikes me as someone with a lot potential for growth.
Not all champs are likable.
Personally, I'm looking forward to destroying her in the fields of SR.

I thought we were supposed to write her off as an idiot. Basically a teenager, you know someone with no clue what's going on but thinks they already know everything about the world, politics, romance, etc.
She is a bird brain, lol
