Vlad word cloud for your enjoyment + some lore speculation
I polled /r/Vladimirmains for this.
#Wild speculation below, read at own risk:
For the lore part, now that we have a timeline and he is at least as old as Noxus, it is pretty much canon he took part in the Rune wars. So this is my first thought:
- Is Bloodlord his Rune Wars identity, bloodthirsty and obsessed with conquest and destruction? ("I shall leave this place in ruin.") I honestly don't see this skin being non-canon as the theme is identical to base, I could be wrong of course.
Further:
-
Is Vlad even older than that? Is the blood magic monks part still canon but it just happened very, very long ago?
-
If not and my other guesses on Darkin history are correct and Vlad was indeed the first human to master Blood Magic, what did he do the entire time between the Darkin wars and the Rune Wars?
-
Did he fight for the Darkin or against them? Did he betray whoever taught him?
-
But, like the five Darkin, he was imprisoned rather than executed (there is some need for justification for this, possibly spared because he sided with humans in the end? Was some magical hibernation involved, as his mortal body and mind could not handle centuries of imprisonment)
-
This would explain his absence during Morde's reign and so on. Did LeBlanc discover him in the catacombs of Noxus and wake him up?
-
I mean he is already a mashup of both Alucards, I would feel 0 surprise if the first Black Rose lady waking him up looks something like this:

Yes, Vladmains are thirsty (for lore) and yes, trying to get a Rioter to drop some hints in a Vlad lore thread is difficult, but it is Christmas, Noxus lore is getting fleshed out and miracles might happen?
