My issue with Neeko's sexuality is that it pushes off other lore aspects from her quotes.

I don't particularly mind that Neeko fancies the girls, it'd probably be the same whether she prefers men or a loaf of bread, my issue with it is that most of her interactions revolve around that, and other aspects of her character are snuffed out, something that has happened a lot with recent champions, to be honest (not exactly sexuality-wise per se), where their quotes focus way too much on stuff that add very little to lore, which is a big contrast to Swain's rework, as I adored his quotes because they're dripping with lore.

Champions' quotes can be a great way of storytelling, to understand more of the Champion and the world that surrounds them, but a lot of the new Champions' lines are so incredibly vapid, another example would be Zoe, a Champion who by nature is an interesting one, but all I can remember about her quotes is that she's derpy and she wants to get into Ezreal's pants, and I still don't know how Kai'Sa can still even speak in human tongue or let alone probably be the Champion with the best manners in the entire game.

So, yeah, the gay frog is cute as a button, but I wish I could learn more about her beyond the lore page by seeing her in motion.

Really? Because like 90% of her voicelines seem to be either "Oh its interesting to change into other people for various reasons" and "Wow, thsi world is Interesting, btw runes are cool!"

Did you listen to the whole voiceover or just the special interactions...?

EDIT: Special interactions rarely provide more lore, unless the characters have met in the past, but even then the interactions tell you more about a champions personality and relation with the other character, rather than the lore. With Neeko coming from a remote island, it wouldn't make sense she would know more about the champions. For example, what should she tell you about Shyvana's lore, when all she really knows about her is that Shyv is a pretty "dragon lady".

The actual "lore-meat" comes from the lines during moving - that's when champions talk the most about lore. With Swain it's a bit different, because the he actively gathers info on different champions. There is no reason Neeko would do that.

I like both Neeko's style of Special Interactions and Swain's style. They are different for different champions. One says more about lore, the other tells you more about the personality of the champion saying them.

Listen to the full VO then talk about the lore within her voice-over. And with the fact that her tribe are new to the lore, wouldn't be surprised if riot didn't write more than she already says and has in her own lore.

And also most of her special interactions are more about how she prefers transforming into some characters over the other, rather than how fancies women - there are like 2 lines about that. Like... The lines are often like "I like this body" or "I wish I could stay like this forever". Honestly, it almost sounds like Neeko has issues with her self-image.

EDIT2: also you "don't particulary mind" that Neeko is into women? And "it'd probably be the same" if she were straight? Now, I don't like picking words like that. These could just be poorly worded lines. Happens to everyone.

That's the reason the lore pages exist, so you can learn more about the champs. Most people don't go around saying randomly spouting exposition.
