Do you suppose Lux would ever renounce herself as a Crownguard if she had to?

Given she's now more-or-less a fugitive, don't you think she would renounce herself as a Crownguard in order to protect her family? Or would that not matter and the Crownguards would still be punished for having a mage born into the family? If it's the latter, then that's a clear case of poor laws.

As far as I see it, she hasn't outright renounced herself as a Crownguard yet, even after the events of the comic. Or at least she hasn't done so publicly.

  1. As far as I know lore wise, Garen is the only person that knows about lux's power in their family. And he told her to keep it hidden; so he could viably claim plausible deniability. [I could be wrong on that]

  2. Unless there is a change in the seat of power within Demacia, or they change their stance on mages; more than likely even if she considers herself Crownguard, now that her secret is out, she would have been renounced by the order.

Even if she does it, I don't think it would help her family a lot, given the fierce antimage attitudes and the king's new hate boner. Their bloodline has been tainted by magic, where is the guarantee that any Crownguard children won't be born with the same curse of magic?
