after that nami, which is a fish, vi and quinn, vi is somewhat sexy but not in the traditional sense, and after that it was all downhill.

like...can we get a sexy champion for once? it doesnt look like taliyah will change the current trend either.

im like 28, and i dont even like champions like ahri/katarina/akali actually, ironically it hink the sexiest champion in league is jinx.

but i still acknowledge the lack of traditional sexy champions in the last 4 years.

A girl who lives in the jungle and transform into a cougar? Nidalee of course she can have more revealing clothes coz she just doesn't care and she might have a playful/animal aspect of her personality that is kind of sexy.

But if , the policewoman who fights with gigantic fists in melee combat was running around in a bikini, I would ask myself some questions... She NEEDS to be heavily dressed and armored because it simply fits her lore and character.

Riot makes champions looks fit their lore and playstyle, they won't make a champion for the sole purpose of him/her being sexy.

Have you took in consideration that she is a snipper and therefore she doesn't have to get up close and personal with her targets? VI has to punch them so it's normal that she is more protected since she is right in the criminals face.

I think it would be way more rational to ask for sexy skins instead of sexy champions if you just want to see some smexy girls fighting on the rift.

when i was in the military i worked side by side with snipers and i can guarantee you none were dressed anywhere close to what caitlyn is wearing.

early champions were not put through the same standard of creation as riot is exercising currently. caitlyn is straight up sexualized just to be sexualized. she jokes about fluffy cuffs, wears an ultra short short skirt and generally looks like something id find in vegas and i dont mean in the vegas sherriffs office.

a lot of early champions are unnecessarily sexualized, its true, caitlyn, katarina, akali, and many others.

i realize there are a lot more hyper sexualized characters in league than there are alternative body types. and i applaud that riot is slowly changing that. its cool. good job, but once in a while it would be cool to add a new face to the hyper sexualized line up too. im not saying add more to that line up than other line ups, im not even saying add equal amounts to that line up as other line ups, since the hyper sexualized lineup has a huge head start over everything else (33 hyper sexualized female champions in league according to riot) but it would be cool to give us something new sometimes...like once in 3 years.

Actually they've been trying to tone it down. Fiora's last update was a rather blatant attempt to diminish her eye candy value which was met with quite the backlash from the fan community. I thought it was hilarious.

I didn't notice as much a complaint when they first did it to Miss Fortune. A lot of her skins had slight wardrobe changes that covered her assets quite a bit. As an owner of seven of the eight Fortune skins... I thought it was nice. If anything there was more of a complaint about that Log In Screen where people joked about Fortune looking like Katarina.

And like I said, Riot won't make a champion sexy just coz they want it to be sexy. They all have a reason behind their clothings, and body, either in their lore, attitude or role.

I've watched the video and I don't understand the fuss over Taliyah. She has the same sort of appeal that Mulan had. I can see the argument that she isn't a buxom babe and fits more into the "tomboy, girl next door" category, which League doesn't have a whole lot of (rework Karma is the first that comes to mind). She's still very slender and lithe without the unhealthy, scrawny look that Jinx brings.

Perhaps the next champ will be a female version of Gragas. ^_^

And despite the fact that there haven't been any ""sexy"" champions released since then, we still have oodles and oodles of conventionally attractive women in the League. Hell, just about every female released before Nami was stereotypically sexy. Morgana, Miss Fortune, Akali, Ahri, Ashe, Caitlyn, Janna, Zyra, Elise... I could go on, but I won't. We have plenty of sexy ladies already in the League. Let's get some non-traditionally attractive women in here to even things out.

And that standard differs from region to region and time period to time period. There is not and never has been a standard body design of beauty.

Variants over time period is irrelevant because this guy is clearly talking about what is defined as sexy in the current time period. Regional differences exist but don't really matter in this context because we're in a western context and western beauty standards tend to coalesce around the same concept due to media being so international now.

There's been a "beauty standard" for any given time period for a very long time, the only difference between now and a couple of centuries ago is that there's less regional variance now. The concept of a beauty standard is completely valid.

Don't get me wrong, I wouldn't complain if the next female champion was more conventionally attractive, but I don't really see a reason to complain when we already have so many.

Taliyah definitely doesn't fit that mold, what with her big jew nose and Eugene Levy eyebrows, but I'm fine with that too. I don't mind Riot adding women who are either unconventionally attractive or just not particularly attractive at all.
