So is Aatrox going to become LoL's version of Griffith/Femto?
Seeing as Tryndamere has plenty of Guts in him, it'd make sense for Aatrox's background to be similar to Griffith's. At least, in my headcanon, it'd make a lot of sense.

if you give tryndamere a arm cannon without mana, this game is done lolz
Honestly I always felt like Aatrox had his similarities with Femto I mean both are Demonic figures(and I think Femto was even red in the original anime),both are responsible for slaughtering the family/friends of the main character(a berserker with a huge sword),both are part of a group of 5 mysterious beings, both changed the course of history and both have a somewhat feminine appearance(less so in aatroxs case, but it was said that making him a bit effeminate was intentional)
Eh, I don't see Aatrox having as much charisma as Griffith/Femto. Aatrox just wants a worthy opponent because he sees war and combat as an art form, he fights for the sake of fighting. Griffith's ambition to be a king ends up changing the very world into a fantasy setting.
That and the personal rivalry of Griffith and Guts is driven by Griffith's own pettiness over his lack of control and Guts desire for revenge. Only Tryndamere wants revenge, Aatrox doesn't care about who Tryndamere is, only that he's capable of being a strong opponent.
TLDR: Griffith can't help but see Guts as a threat to him and is constantly trying to prove that he doesn't. He's obsessed with Guts. Aatrox just wants a strong opponent, so he decided to make one. He doesn't see Tryndamere as a person or a threat, but rather as a project.
Can you really consider something you made as your rival?
I don't see the connection other than one killed a lot of people that the other cared about and that Aatrox is demonish.
