As the Dark Star consumes, new Corruptants are born. Whether elegant or savage, these twisted forms emerge from the Singularity, eager to feed more to the inky, inescapable abyss.

Born out of the remnants of an advanced, once-magnificent system, Dark Star Orianna serves the Singularity with meticulous precision. She glides across galaxies in an endlessly horrifying performance, her only chorus the vast silence left in her wake.

A ruthless Corruptant from a barbaric realm, Dark Star Kha’Zix is driven by a hunger that only grows as planets are devoured. Unable to sate the starvation, his endless hunt continues.

Do they come from entire solar systems, or do some come from planets?

Potentially both, depending on what gets consumed and how potent what was consumed is.

So where do Thresh and Varus originate from?

I'd imagine that Thresh was perhaps a being born in to existence alongside the Dark Star, born from the first system/first system with intelligent life that it consumed, or just the physical embodiment of the Dark Star's power to begin with.

I'd imagine Varus as being born of a system that gave itself up to the Dark Star with some goal in mind. Not a clue what, but with Varus's theme of vengeance perhaps it was a people who sacrificed themselves with the hopes of turning the Dark Star upon those who had scorned them.

Just posing thoughts here; I really dunno, but I do dig the concept of beings born from the singularity. So cool.

Thresh was on the concept of what if original thresh just ate the souls of a entire planet. The answer was he would just set course off to another one.

Varus is his "satellite" which means they are from around the same place. I dont know how they met up. But they are partners.

This is why I don't know why people believe that the star guardians could fight them.

I mean the dark stars eat whole solar systems for breakfast,they wouldn't even know that the star guardians are on the planet when they devour it.

We also don't know the extent of the Star Guardians' power. Given they're tasked with defending an entire universe, I'd say size isn't much of an issue for them.

They aren't tasked with defending the universe,they are tasked with defending Runeterra. And we know that Lux,Janna,Poppy and Lulu were unable to defeat Baron Nashor without Jinxs help https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oorajmbSJUM

But Baron Nashor is even less than an ant compared to the dark stars.

If they only defend one planet, they wouldn't be called STAR guardians. And we don't know the full extent of Baron Nashor's power.

Well, Weren't Sailor Moon's girls named after planets if i don't recall wrong? but i Think they only defended Earth right? not every planet or moon in the system or universe (Could be wrong on this one though, never watched that anime)

I think they are called star guardians because they were born of the first star or something like that, as the song Burning Bright seems to say, but a star is no match for the hunger of the Dark Star

Dark Star Thresh mocks Baron in 3 forms, one saying that he has destroyed whole realities, so this beast isn't a threat, and he also even say that they have consumed the Void already (of their timeline, that isn't the one we are in), although this last one is a word play, and Ori in her recall pops a planet just like that, in seconds, they could only scream, so i'm not sure Star Guardians could survive that with the power of friendship

Or they might be called like this,because they get their powers from a star. Which seems pretty likely given Jinxs dialogue about great star.

Pretty sure her dialogue also talks about defending the universe. Plus if you read the stuff on the star guardian website (there's a link below) it talks all about the star guardians having an affect across the universe. Now what is possible and quite likely is there are different star guardians stationed in different parts of the universe.

Even if they fight threats all across the universe,it doesn't mean that they could even hope to defeat something as powerful as a dark star champion. In the end the video showed that one star guardian can't even defeat Baron Nashor. One Dark star on the other hand could destroy the whole planet without any effort.
